The Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation is a separate corporation designed to manage the funds that are donated or bequeathed to the Listowel Memorial Hospital. The Foundation also plays a key role in fundraising activities for major equipment and redevelopment of the facility.
Incorporated in 1980, the Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF) was founded to assist Milton District Hospital in funding new and replacement equipment needs and community education programs. The Foundation serves as the primary philanthropic arm for the Milton District Hospital and is responsible for generating and administering all charitable gifts for the Hospital. A Board of Directors comprised of business and civic leaders in the community governs the Milton District Hospital Foundation.
Through various fund raising projects, memorials, donations, gifts, bequests, the Foundation has helped the Association with the cost of wheelchair repairs and provided such items as a 'Snoezelen Light Therapy System' (MKK), A Lifeline Emergency Call System (for Kotitalo residents) and new chairs for the Kestitupa dining room at Suomi Eesti Maja. In 2007 the Foundation also purchased a new, larger bus/van for the use of all OFRA residents for various outings. When Mauno Kaihla Koti was in need of an addition and renovations, the Foundation committed to help and raised $300,000.00 towards the project. The 'Friendship Rose Garden' is a special project of the Foundation. Anyone can buy a rose bush and/or an engraved granite stone to honor and remember a loved one.

Today, the Montreal General is a McGill University Teaching Hospital, one of only 2 Quebec Government designated Level 1 Trauma Centres and also Comprehensive-Care Cancer Centre. Current projects include reconstruction of Gastroenterology Division, renovation of Palliative Care, construction of new Cardiac ICU and new Mental Health Inpatient facilities. Nearly $90 million has been invested by the MGH Foundation in the Hospital over the last 6 years.
