Our Association raises 100% of its necessary funding through events and donations and all revenue stays specifically in Orillia to support the existing local Big Brother Big Sister programs. Today, we support over 150 families annually in a variety of mentoring programs which include Big & Little matches, couple matches, group matches, cross-gender matches, In-School Mentoring, teen mentoring and ‘Go Girls’. We also offer regular group activities for our entire membership which facilitate the physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs of everyone in our program. These programs are sustained through the efforts of minimal staff and approximately 100 volunteers.

Through a variety of programs- Traditional, In-School, Go Girls, Game On, and Friendship Programs- we provide mentorship to children and youth in the communities of Brock, Uxbridge and Scugog Townships. All of our mentors are volunteers and thoroughly screened and matched with our mentees as best we can. We are not government funded, and therefore hold a variety of fundraising events each year in order to keep our programs running.

Mentoring is about the power of friendship. The volunteers and young people in our programs experience the magic of everyday moments when they are shared with a friend. Everyone needs someone to laugh with, share a dream with, and just hang out... with friends it's the little things that mean the most.

Founded in 1914, YouthLink is an accredited youth mental health centre and United Way member agency. Over the years, we have helped thousands of youth and their families get their lives on track to a better future. Our staff is professional and experienced and includes social workers, child and youth workers and youth peer educators. Our programs for youth 12-24 in Toronto are provided at no cost to the participant and include: - walk-in and ongoing counselling services for youth and families - a positive parenting program and individual family support - programs to engage youth in Scarborough's high-needs neighbourhoods - A full-time residence for young women - affordable co-op housing in four locations throughout Toronto - Family support for youth with intellectual disabilities - an inner city centre for street youth that includes a drop-in, housing support, medical and legal services, employment preparation and life skills workshops.

The mission of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) is to provide support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias nationwide, and fund research for better treatment and a cure.

The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) is the oldest and largest national nonprofit voluntary health organization focused on improving the quality of life for people with lupus. Our unique dual mission serves the ongoing needs of people affected by lupus today while leading efforts to find a cure – from care to cure!  Through the national office in Washington, DC and a nationwide network of chapters, offices, support groups and community representatives, the LFA conducts programs of research, education, and advocacy.  The LFA is leading efforts to bring national attention and resources to bear upon lupus in order to shine a light on this medically underserved disease, accelerate the pace of medical research on lupus, build support for the needs of those affected by lupus, and elevate lupus to a place of prominence on the nation’s health care agenda.
