Going Beyond the Pink works to empower people affected by breast cancer by providing practical education, patient navigation, local support services (care bags, wigs/prosthetics), workshops, and targeted financial assistance. The organization focuses on helping patients in southeastern North Carolina move through diagnosis, treatment, and into survivorship with information and community-based resources.

To provide free, individualized navigation to help patients and loved ones manage a primary brain tumor diagnosis, overcome treatment obstacles, and facilitate access to quality healthcare.

Founded in 2009, The Grassroot Project (TGP) uses the power of sports and the platform of athlete role models to educate, inspire, and mobilize youth to live healthy lives. We are a team of more than 1,000 NCAA varsity athletes and 5,000 DC teens who are committed to making our city healthier. The Grassroot Project capitalizes on the excitement, relatability, and popularity of sports to provide much-needed health literacy and social empowerment programs to DC teens. The only way for us to succeed is to believe in the power of youth to make a difference. In addition to providing health education to DC teens, we invest in the leadership training, cultural competency, and professional skills of hundreds of NCAA varsity athletes who serve as our program facilitators. MHI was created to level the healthcare playing field by promoting, educating and ensuring equal healthcare access and treatment for underserved and vulnerable communities. A non-proft 501(3) organization, MHI provides a holistic, full circle life approach to healing and wellness by focusing on the participation, education, and training of adults as well as offering hands-on enrichment and STEAMH career experiences to aspiring and promising young people in the community

The CBCC Foundation for Community Wellness is an organization committed to addressing the financial, educational, and emotional needs of individuals in Kern County who have been diagnosed with cancer. Through the foundation, we promote cancer awareness and prevention to decrease incidence and increase survivorship through early detection. The resources provided by the CBCC Foundation are available to any cancer patient in Kern County regardless of treatment facility.

The mission of El Rio Community Health Center is to improve the health of our community through comprehensive, accessible, affordable, quality and compassionate care. El Rio Foundation raises support for programs, services to patients and capital needs of the health center.
