The foundation has also provided funding of more than $100 million for special and capital projects over the past several years.

CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Foundation (Mercy Medical Foundation)

The CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Foundation, formerly Mercy Medical Foundation, is a charitable tax exempt corporation for the sole purpose of supporting and enhancing the health care mission of CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center in Williston, SD. The mission of the Foundation is to support programs and projects related to health care through which donors can share in the philanthropic goals of the hospital. The ultimate recipient of a gift could be a member of your family, a close friend, or a neighbor receiving care at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and can provide considerable tax advantages. There are many gifting opportunities including donations of stock, cash, charitable gift annuities, insurance proceeds, gifts-in-kind, real estate, trusts, and wills. The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of community leaders and area residents who annually meet to set a program of work to accomplish the goal of funding hospital needs, building the endowment fund and carrying out projects essential to growth and development. In April 2016, the Foundation became "CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Foundation" as the hospital joined with 12 other locations in North Dakota to form the CHI St. Alexius Health Regional Healthcare System. Our foundation remains an independent, local entity which raises funds for direct needs at our Williston location.

Our organizational focus is:   1) Building and strengthening Portneuf Medical Center.   2) Investing in the promotion of health in our region through organized, thoughtful stewardship.   Together with our partners LHP Hospital Group,  the Portneuf Health Care Foundation owns Portneuf Medical Center.
