Concise summary — Concerns of Police Survivors (this chapter of C.O.P.S.) provides peer support, training, and practical resources to surviving family members, co‑workers, and others affected by law‑enforcement deaths in the line of duty. The chapter offers local outreach, survivor weekends and camps, and assistance after line‑of‑duty deaths to help rebuild survivors’ lives.
We acknowledge that social inequality and injustice exacerbate drug-related harm. By engaging in outreach, education, and advocacy, we aim to transform our community's culture and challenge perceptions surrounding those grappling with substance use disorders. Our efforts focus on reducing the transmission of infectious diseases by offering free in-house testing, facilitating seamless transitions to treatment, promoting safer drug use practices, and connecting individuals and communities with recovery resources. Access Point of Georgia, Inc. wholeheartedly supports diverse recovery pathways by providing harm reduction services and recovery resources to people who use drugs and other key populations in Northeast Georgia.
