Next Door Solutions’ (NDS) mission is to end domestic violence in the moment… and for all time by helping survivors rebuild their lives. NDS serves women and children who are financially, ethnically and linguistically diverse: • Crisis Services: 24/7 Emergency Shelter and Hotline – women and children receive safe haven from abuse, and safety planning and other supportive services; callers seeking crisis counseling, vital information and referrals receive an immediate live voice response by a highly trained bilingual English/Spanish Advocate. • Community and Systems Advocacy - clients receive peer counseling, safety plan development, legal advocacy, and assurance and comfort. • Support Groups - Women connect and create a healing environment for each other through 16 groups throughout the county • Self-Sufficiency Program – women empower themselves and enhance their financial independence and self-sufficiency through comprehensive, compassionate, woman-defined case management, workshops in financial literacy, job readiness, and educational advancement, and permanent housing.

We will work toward the elimination of domestic violence and provide emergency and support services for survivors of domestic violence.For over 37 years, Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. (DVSS) has advanced its work to prevent domestic violence and provide support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Services are available twenty four hours a day. Our primary service area is New Hanover County. (Other areas are served as needed.)

The Center helps people who abuse to stop their domestic violence, take responsibility for their behavior, create healthy relationships, and strengthen their community. Domestic violence affects women and children, men and boys. It is estimated that one woman is battered every nine seconds; 37% of women visiting emergency rooms are there due to domestic battery; in Chicago, one domestic violence related call is made to the 911 call center per district per hour.

We empower survivors of domestic violence and their children to believe in themselves and build new lives filled with dignity, respect, safety, and hope. Empowerhouse gives victims the time, space, and tools to heal their hearts, renew their spirits, restore their connections, and rebuild their lives. We break the cycle of domestic violence through shelter, housing, support, education, prevention, and intervention.Empowerhouse serves the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg in Virginia.

Prevent, Protect, Change - The mission of SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence is to prevent domestic violence, protect victims and promote change in lives, families and our community. For over 30 years, SAFE Shelter has been Savannah’s only shelter dedicated to victims of intimate partner violence and their underage children.  Open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, the Shelter provides safe, confidential services to all victims of domestic violence.

Center for Hope & Safety (formerly Shelter Our Sisters) is dedicated to assisting Bergen County, NJ victims and survivors of domestic violence, and their children, by turning fear into safety, helplessness into strength, and isolation into hope. The agency provides emergency and transitional housing, emotional support, and a diversified continuum of services focused on safety, empowerment, and self-sufficiency. Through community partnerships, Center for Hope and Safety raises awareness, provides services, and educates community members about domestic violence.

The mission of Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) is to end the crime of intimate partner violence and empower its survivors; our vision is a community free of domestic violence. To that end we work to educate the public on the dynamics of intimate partner violence; promote healthy dating relationships among adolescents and teens to prevent future violence; offer safety and shelter for battered women and their children; restore power, self-sufficiency, and control to survivors; and create an effective and coordinated community response to intimate partner violence.

The Family Tree leads Maryland in preventing child abuse, connects caring communities, and builds strong families to improve society for generations. We educate and empower parents to help them make good decisions when raising their families—the ultimate result is to help children. More than 30,000 people receive help through our evidence-based programs and parenting classes each year. In addition, we provide professional training, community education, and advocacy for legislation that prevents child abuse and neglect.

Women's Resource Center (WRC) is dedicated to stopping domestic violence and sexual assault by rebuilding lives together. We believe ALL people deserve to live a life free from the crimes of domestic violence and sexual assault. Those who are victims of these crimes should have access to services that assist them in recovering from their trauma and moving forward in their lives. WRC is dedicated to providing the highest quality supportive services, counseling, shelter and education to women, men and children involved in or threatened by domestic violence or sexual assault.

The Anacortes Family Center's mission is to serve homeless women, children and families in crisis by providing shelter in addition to comprehensive transformational services to achieve long lasting personal success and self-sufficiency, and to prevent homelessness in our community through advocacy and by providing affordable housing options. AFC's unique approach has led to the distinction of being one of the most successful shelters in the state at helping clients achieve self-sufficiency. Last year AFC served the most vulnerable clients* and over 80% of our clients graduated successfully - finding a permanent place to call home and a job to support the household.*Measured with the objective tool used by all homeless programs called the “Vulnerability index”.

Established in 1980, Jenesse Center, Inc. is one of the oldest domestic violence intervention and prevention programs in Los Angeles. Jenesse’s mission is to restore families impacted by domestic/sexual violence through holistic, trauma informed, culturally responsive services and advance prevention initiatives that foster and sustain healthy, violence free communities. We seek to prevent and end the cycle of domestic violence through education, outreach initiatives, public policy and advocacy strategies and collaboration with key partners. Jenesse works towards systematic changes in how local, state and federal entities can more effectively address Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention. 60% of Jenesse's clients are children, who are the most vulnerable and voiceless victims

WomenSafe serves people across the gender spectrum who experience sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking Hotline Services – Through a 24-hour hotline, we provide crisis intervention, problem-solving assistance, safety planning and emotional support. Advocacy Services – We offer information and referrals to all community resources over the phone and in person. Advocates offer support, advocacy and referrals related to the Relief from Abuse Order, family and criminal court processes when it’s related to domestic and sexual violence. Advocates will accompany survivors to the hospital to offer support and advocacy when receiving medical attention following an act of sexual or domestic violence. Systems Advocacy – We work to change the multi-system barriers that support violence against women. Our goal is to create systems that support safety, dignity and wholeness in the lives of everyone in our community. We do this through individual advocacy, community collaboration and participation in statewide policy making. Underserved Communities Outreach – WomenSafe provides targeted outreach to the smaller, less populated towns throughout Addison County and Rochester. This includes outreach to migrant workers and other immigrants. Language Line interpretation services are available for hotline callers with limited English proficiency. Language Line provides interpreters for 170+ languages. WomenSafe can also arrange for in-person interpreters. Our advocacy services are free and confidential, regardless of citizenship status. Support Groups – We offer drop-in support groups for survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence. Childcare is available with advanced notice. Supervised Visitation & Monitored Exchanges – When a partner separates from an abusive partner, it is often a time of increased risk for the parent and children. The Supervised Visitation Program @ WomenSafe (The SVP) provides increased safety for children and parents during supervised visitation and monitored exchanges. Community Education – We offer trainings, presentations and awareness activities on topics related to domestic and sexual violence to schools, community groups, businesses and other organizations and professions. Sample topics are: healthy relationships, sexual harassment versus flirting, effects of domestic violence on children, and child sexual abuse prevention.
