The Family Tree leads Maryland in preventing child abuse, connects caring communities, and builds strong families to improve society for generations. We educate and empower parents to help them make good decisions when raising their families—the ultimate result is to help children. More than 30,000 people receive help through our evidence-based programs and parenting classes each year. In addition, we provide professional training, community education, and advocacy for legislation that prevents child abuse and neglect.

We aim to educate, organize and mobilize low-income and working class families of the Filipino community in Southern California and address the issues and concerns that we face in our daily lives. In carrying out our mission, we will cultivate and advance a dynamic culture that values justice and human dignity. We will reaffirm our connections to our families and loves ones still living in the Philippines to proactively support their efforts to uplift themselves. We will foster partnerships with individuals, organizations and communities that share our common interests.

Lifeline Energy is a non-profit social enterprise that provides sustainable information and education access to vulnerable populations. We achieve this by designing, manufacturing and distributing solar and wind-up media players and radios for classroom and group listening. Since 1999, we have distributed more than 500,000 power independent radios to provide on-demand access to information and education, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa. Over the years we have received numerous awards including the Tech Museum of Innovation Award, a World Bank Development Marketplace Award and an Index: Design to Improve Life Award. In addition, our founder and CEO Kristine Pearson was named one of TIME magazine's Heroes of the Environment for 2007 and received the James C. Morgan Global Humanitarian Award in 2005.

Our mission is to educate and improve access to knowledge and know-how of producers that are part of eligible local organizations, while applying innovative methodologies for value-chain optimization. Our end-goal is 3-fold: (1) To reduce poverty and income inequality through sustainable, wealth-generating programs; (2) To enhance human capital to meet the needs of a competitive global market; (3) To increase private and non-for-profit sectors co-investments for shared-value creation. Our team has a strong experience in various sectors, such as the handicraft and coffee sectors; we also prioritize critical areas such as technology; brand, marketing & communications; and, leadership development & entreprenuerialship; to deliver long-lasting results within the area of influence, operating in Chiapas, with scaling opportunities in vulnerable regions with indigenous populations in Mexico and in Latin America.

EVA is a non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and registered in the State of Illinois. It was created for the purpose of assisting Ecuadorian institutions devoted to educational, social, and health programs for the poor, neglected, and at-risk segments of the population. EVA is run by volunteers, and the various programs are implemented through network of viable, non-profit Ecuadorian institutions previously selected by a careful screening process. EVA requires that all the funds collected and distributed as yearly grants be only used for programmatic objectives of the organization it sponsors. EVA's Community Assistance Grant was instituted in 2008 to improve the quality of life of economically disadvantaged people living in the Chicago Metropolitan area where EVA is located. I Since its inception, we have been giving opportunities to advance educational, health, and human service programs in the local community.

Pact is a different kind of adoption organization—honest, child-centered, and anti-racist. Since 1991, Pact’s mission has always been to serve adopted children of color. In every case, the child is always our primary client. In order to best serve children’s needs, we provide not only adoptive placement but lifelong education, support, and community. Our goal is for every child to feel wanted, honored and loved, a cherished member of their communities with proud connections to their cultural heritage. We advocate for honesty and authenticity in matters of race and adoption.

William Penn House - * Is a Quaker center for exploring and making visible the Quaker Testimonies of peace, community, simplicity, equality and truth, * Nurtures and celebrates those who "Speak Truth to Power" in pursuit of peace and social justice * Has a special ministry to youth * Connects visitors from the United States and around the world with the service and witness resources of Washington D.C. * Serves as a communication center for Friends' meetings in the Washington area * Is a hospitality center on Capitol Hill that can provide lodging for up to 30 people, and rooted and grounded in Quaker faith and practice.

Rainbow Families supports and connects lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) parents and prospective parents by providing educational programs, social events, and discussion forums for LGBTQ parents and prospective parents in the DMV area. Rainbow Families is a volunteer led non-profit organization, supported by members, community sponsors, and private and public grants. Education Matters matches talent with opportunity. We believe that youth hold the keys to the future, and we are here to help motivated students realize their dreams through education. Our Programs Include: USAP The United Student Achievers Program (USAP) identifies high-achieving, low-income students with demonstrated leadership potential and an ethos of giving. We work with these students to apply for admission and scholarship to top colleges and universities in the United States and elsewhere. Student Athlete Cohort Education Matters' Student Athlete Cohort works with exceptional high school student athletes to apply for sports scholarships at colleges and universities in the United States. We value the balance between academics and athletics and seek the best match for each student. Zimbabwe Career Connect Zimbabwe Career Connect is an experiential learning program that matches Zimbabwean students studying in the United States with organizations and companies in Zimbabwe for a two month internship during their June-July holidays. Yale Young African Scholars Education Matters is the local partner for the Yale Young African Scholars Program in Zimbabwe. We mentor the Zimbabwean students involved in the program and work with local educators to offer workshops on the U.S. admissions process. The Zimbabwean YYAS program takes place in annually in August in Harare.

Genders and Sexualities Alliance Network (GSA Network) is a next-generation LGBTQ racial and gender justice organization that empowers and trains trans, queer, and allied youth leaders to advocate, organize, and mobilize an intersectional movement for safer schools and healthier communities. In California, GSA Network connects over 1,000 GSA clubs through regional summits and youth councils. Nationally, GSA Network leads the National Association of GSA Networks which unites 40 statewide networks of GSA clubs, and GSAs Unite, an online campaign and petition platform supporting youth organizers across the country.

TYTW's mission is to protect girls' rights and end child marriage. Through the use of powerful portraits and short films of child brides, TYTW serves as the bridge, connecting girls' stories to governments, policymakers, and the public. TYTW's Adolescent Girls Photography Workshops provide survivors and girls at-risk of child marriage a chance to heal, tell their own stories, and return to their communities as leaders in the fight against child marriage. OUR VISION IS A WORLD WHERE Every girl can decide for herself, if, when, and whom to marry. Adolescent girls are free to simply be children and can determine the course of their own lives.

Lazarus House's mission is to offer guests connected to St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia and western rural Kane County, Illinois, who are homeless or in need, hope for the future by providing hospitality, food, safe shelter, and education – tools for life. We strive to make certain that all who enter feel the love of Jesus. Goals are to: 1)help the homeless return to independent living with the skills and habits needed for long-term success and 2)offer services and referrals to help those in need in our community in order to prevent homelessness and support the well being of individuals and their families.
