The National Center for Law & Policy (NCLP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) legal defense organization which focuses on the protection and promotion of religious freedom, the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, parental rights, and other civil liberties.

We were formed in 1996 to monitor legislative activity and provide a statewide support network for FOI supporters, including professional associations, private business, citizen activists, librarians, media and other access advocates; to educate the private citizen and government employee about the importance of open government; to encourage FOI training; to build public awareness of the need for an ombudsman-type FOI office in state government.
