Every year, over 100 million Americans are denied access to our civil justice system because it is too complicated, too intimidating or too expensive to use. Dedicated to the principle that all Americans should be able to handle their legal affairs simply, affordably and equitably, HALT pursues an aggressive education and advocacy program that challenges the legal establishment to improve access, reduce costs and to increase accountability in our civil justice system.
