The Scottish Terrier Club of America's Health Trust Fund is a 501c3 established in 1994 for the purposes of supporting research to benefit all Scotties, investigating and monitoring health issues in the breed using registries, databases and health surveys, and communicating important new health information and research findings to all Scottie owners.

Since 1987, Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocates (ACCASA) has recruited, trained, and supported dedicated volunteers to be the constant in a foster child’s life—a person they can count on for compassion, guidance, advocacy, and information. Our mission is to provide support and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and abuse within Central New Mexico and to serve as a community resource on issues regarding prevention and awareness of sexual violence. We recognize that sexual violence is a tool of oppression. We understand that sexual violence won't end until all forms or oppression end. We take action against sexual violence by challenging all forms of oppression and promoting social justice. We create a work culture that is supporting, caring, honest, safe, accessible, and which promotes trust and open communication. We promise self-renewal and healing for anyone affected by sexual assault.

Valley Haven is a Non-Profit Emergency Children's Shelter, located in Harlingen, Texas, for the children that have been removed from their home by Child Protective Services due to abuse and neglect.Children ages 0-17 years of age, male and female, from not only our surrounding counties, but the state of Texas as well, will temporarily reside at Valley Haven until appropriate placement has been located.At Valley Haven, our goal is to stop the cycle of abuse so abused children can heal and not pass on to their children the abuse they received from their parents.By showing and teaching appropriate ways to trust and love each other, the children at Valley Haven will feel safe, begin to heal, and look at their future in a positive way. Our children deserve the chance to grow into loving, caring, and happy adults.Valley Haven's mission is to protect, guide, and nurture abused and neglected children by providing them a safe and loving home!
