We women is a foundation that strives to achieve equality for various groups of people in the world. The foundation assists women, refugees, ethnic minorities, and disadvantaged groups with their questions, struggles and needs, as they are formulated within their own terms. Academic research is the first step in this process because it helps to gain insight into local beliefs, practices and ambitions. The key areas of We women's engagement include personal growth, social inclusion, (mental) health, education, and the encouragement of creative initiatives, with the ultimate goal of achieving equality for all. The We women foundation has been based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, since 2010, where we have been developing and implementing the We women from Burma Project. This project promotes the education and well-being of unrecognized refugee women from Burma. The Foundation targets women whose passions, goals and motivations implicate them as future leaders of Burma. We women provides a much needed service to women from Burma by offering them the opportunity to succeed in higher education. Each year the We women foundation supports a select number of qualified women as they prepare themselves for leadership in their country and communities. We women assists students as they prepare themselves for university by advising them during the application process and throughout their job search. During each woman's period of study, the We women foundation provides scholarship funding for their university tuition, as well as academic tutoring and coaching. In order to provide long-term support, We women assists its alumni in their search for positions as they enter the professional world. The long-term aim of the We women from Burma project is to assist unrecognized refugee women into obtaining higher positions within policy making or influential organizations so that they then can empower other women and their communities, on their own terms.In order to realise our long-term objective, the We women foundation intends to make higher education accessible for the future female leaders of Burma. In addition, we assist them where possible in the process of professional development. To this end we have developed a number of short-term goals: To ensure prospective students have the necessary qualifications and documentation to be admitted to a university of their choice, so they can make well informed and realistic decisions about their future education. To grant scholarships to the most promising students, so they can successfully enroll at the university of their choice and not experience financial restraints while completing their degrees. To support and coach students during their studies at university, so they can successfully complete their degree and gain all the theoretical knowledge they need for their future careers. To create opportunities for students to gain practical working experience in an internship setting, so they can put their education and theoretical knowledge into practice, build their credentials and further develop practical expertise. To assist alumni in obtaining key positions in policy making and influential organizations. To research community needs in order to improve existing programs and create new programs with research results. To provide a gender program that addresses gender issues in the community in order to promote gender equality and create a platform for women leaders. These goals are collectively addressed by our programs, which jointly make up the We women from Burma project.

THE BLINDNESS FOUNDATION works in Burma/Myanmar,Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines & Thailand. Our mission is: "HELP US,HELP OTHERS, HELP THEMSELVES" -working with local eye Doctors in these SE Asian countries to help prevent & cure blindness. This is achieved through education, training and mission supply for outreach cataract surgery programs to the rural & urban poor . To date for example we have over the last two decades, contributed lens implants that have been implanted in over 65,000 patients' eyes to help them see again -curing their blindness. Ongoing training and education, upgrades the knowledge and skill -sets of young Eye Doctors in training so that they can treat their own people better, without reliance on outside Ophthalmologists. This builds their health care systems closer to modern world standards. We respond to specific requests for assistance in placing young Eye Doctors in residency & Fellowship programs out of country , Also supply of anti-fungals for the Burmese fishermen with corneal infections after the Nargis Cyclone hit the Irawaddy delta region of Myanmar. Our goal is sustainable self-sufficiency for eye care in these developing nations. We have annual missions that incorporate training & lectures at university based teaching hospitals where possible to assist their development. During these missions we process requests for equipment, traing and supplies and coordinate with industry in the US to raise supplies. The primary mission of the ASSET is to provide computer literacy for education towards alternate livelihood and as a means of AIDS prevention. The program is designed to assist the children to attain a level of education and familiarity with technology that will enable them to free themselves from being chained to the same profession. The ASSET India Foundation supports Education of the children using Computer Based Functional Literacy and small business ownership using Microfinance.

CTF was born from the idea that the world would be a better place if we were all given the opportunity to give back. Established by a group of water women, we feel it is our calling to help others by teaming up with local organizations globally to raise awareness and address social, environmental, health and safety concerns in the places we visit. We aim to bridge the gap between the traveler and our projects enabling travelers to add a life-changing experience to their journeys and add purpose to travel.

The Latisha's House Foundation has a unique place in our community. It provides a safe, residential home for young women who are victims of human sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Our overriding goal is to rescue these young survivors and restore their shattered lives to wholeness by providing:Long term housingEducational supportAssistance in recovery from substance abuseTrauma based counselingMedical interventionStructure, guidance, life-skills and job training In conjunction with more than 25 community partners, Latisha's House is committed to increasing the opportunities for these young victims to holistically build new lives with dignity, purpose, value, independence and free choice.Our second, but equally important, goal is to educate the public and our legislative leaders about the realities of human sex trafficking at all levels: local, state and national. (According to the F.B.I. this is one of the most lucrative and fastest growing crimes in our nation. It is NOT ""victimless"". It is pervasive at every level.)

MISSION 2040 Medicare Health Foundation aims to establish a maternal and child healthcare system consisting of: 20 thirty-bedded Community Hospitals focusing on Mother and Child Healthcare 200 Small-Scale community based Mother and Child Healthcare Units (MCHs) Furthermore, Medicare hopes to establish a training institute which will complement and strengthen the medical facilities. Within the range of services provided by Medicare, providing high quality healthcare to every patient 2. Enhancing international and national grants for Medicare, to execute healthcare projects for the poor requiring high capital investments 4. Bringing about transparency in the functioning of Medicare, to drive purposeful engagement with donors and volunteers, sustained commitment from them, tracking progress and holding each other to account 5. Making Medicare a well-known and highly reputed name, to instill trust in the beneficiaries, donors, and volunteers, and to enhance its credibility at various platforms where partnerships can be forged 6. Enhancing the media image of Medicare, to highlight its cause of promoting maternal and child health in poor communities and to reach out to a large number of donors 7. Advocating Mother and Child Healthcare in Pakistan at various forums and drawing the attention of the community on maternal and infant mortality, to accelerate and focus action and financing from the community, and to become highlighted as an organization championing this cause. 8. We stand together with the poor. We work together with our neighbors in the slums to create simple but progressive solutions that touch the lives of thousands of the poor every day. We build and operate schools, improve family health and welfare, protect street children's rights, combat the AIDS crisis, respond daily to emergencies, and offer shelter to street kids, to orphans, and to children and adults with AIDS - always together, hand in hand and heart to heart with the people we serve.

Proyecto Horizonte is changing lives through education, healthcare, and community development. Our programs will ensure the reduction in illness and infant mortality, improve education levels and the personal development of youth, providing better economic and social opportunities for this generation and, as our programs will be self-sustaining, the impact will be for many generations to come. We have already succeeded in handing over the daycare center and the school we built to the community; both institutions are now self-sustainable.

To improve the quality of life of children, young people and women living in the slum through the provision of quality education, affordable housing, health care and socio economic empowerment Akili Girls Preparatory School strives to provide underprivileged girls in Kisumu County with affordable quality education that will help them to break the cycle of poverty. The project goal is to generate sufficient income through focussing on horticulture, poultry, dairy cows, and renewable energy systems so as to meet educational, nutritional and medical support needs of the girls we support. This project aims to support at least 200 orphans and vulnerable girls between 3 and 14 years by the year 2020. The primary target group are girls from the lowest income populations, particularly those who are affected by the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Obunga slum and Obambo village in Kisumu County. We will enroll 5 fee paying students in every class to enable parents who are able to pay fees to participate in the education of needy girls. The strategy we have adopted to provide quality education to these girls is through the establishment of a boarding school known as Akili Girls Preparatory School which will provide holistic education that addresses both the physical and emotional needs of the girls while creating dignity through self-reliance

Women in the Midwest and South are subject to restrictive laws, which imply that women are either unfit or unqualified to make decisions about their lives, their families, and their current or future children. A few laws which simply make abortion access difficult include: 1. Punitive and prejudicial laws placed on the structure of clinics that provide abortions (i.e. TRAP Laws or targeted regulation of abortion providers). 2. Medically unnecessary requirements for abortion providers to have hospital privileges, a stipulation that has closed dozens of clinics across the country. 3. Prohibiting private insurance from covering abortion care. 4. Requiring a 24-hour waiting period. 5. Mandating Notarized Dual Parental Consent for minors. IN ADDITION, in this part of the country, women are subject to other expenses to access abortion care, including: 1. Costs for longer travel to get to an abortion provider. 2. Costs for caring for their current children. 3. Missed pay to take off of work for their appointment.

To influence and embrace all-inclusive development initiatives by incorporating youths, men, women, people living with disabilities and people with special needs through education, sports, health, networking, and partnerships.
