Texans Care For Children works to improve the lives of Texas children by building commitment and action for improved public policy and programs. Texans Care For Children is dedicated to the belief that the society can do better for the children. It is not just the right thing to do; it is the smart thing to do, because the well-being of Texas is tied to the well-being of its children. They know that many Texans share their vision, and by raising their voices together, they can improve the lives of their children and the success of their state.

CALICO achieves justice and healing for abused children and for adult victims with developmental disabilities. Its mission is to provide a supportive environment to interview victims and facilitate a collaborative response to abuse in which the needs of victims take precedence. It promotes the safety and well-being of all children.

Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development exists to supporting HIV/AIDS education, Persons living with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable children, youth and women in Solwezi district of Zambia by providing them with, educational support (provision of school requisites and literacy materials), health and life skills and vocational Training. These enables disadvantaged members of our society live life of independence and contribute to the national economy. We envision a society that will work towards eradication of vulnerability and illiteracy among Orphans and vulnerable children, youths and women. The main aims of the organization are: To equip women with knowledge and skills that would help them manage all their affairs on their own - In other words, help women attain empowerment; To capacitate women through leadership development, community organization, promotion of self-help groups: To organize skill development and income generating programs and allow participation of women in all stages of project implementation that included monitoring and evaluation; To strive for a gender just society where women have the knowledge, right, freedom and capacity to participate equally with men in the governance of the society.

SurvJustice increases the prospect of justice for survivors of sexual violence by providing survivor assistance and holding both perpetrators and enablers accountable. Our work focuses on the enforcement of victims’ rights within campus, administrative, civil, and criminal processes. SurvJustice also empowers activists who seek systematic change in their communities by providing resources and guidance. We offer a variety of comprehensive trainings as well as policy development for institutions responding to sexual violence, working on all fronts to decrease the prevalence of sexual violence.

Today, UNFPA works in more than 150 countries to ensure every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every woman and girl can reach her fullest potential. USA for UNFPA is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness among Americans about global sexual and reproductive health, mobilizing support to provide lifesaving care to women and girls worldwide, and advocating for gender equality.

Since 1997, the Kasiisi Project has aided education in and around Kibale National Park in rural western Uganda, East Africa. Founded initially as a link between the research-based Kibale Chimpanzee Project and the local community, the Kasiisi Project now works with several research groups in and around the park to target critical issues for the survival of the forest and support of the local population. We support early childhood education, promote conservation and health education, provide daily school lunches, train teachers, encourage literacy through libraries and computer usage, fund secondary school and college scholarships, and address the special needs of girls.

The purpose of the Red de Fundaciones de Puerto Rico is to enhance the ability of philanthropy and nonprofit organizations to improve the lives of vulnerable populations. Summary Hurricanes Irma and Maria have caused widespread damage in Puerto Rico. This fund will provide recovery assistance to help residents recover and rebuild. All donations to this fund will exclusively support recovery efforts from these storms. Challenge Record-breaking wind and rain have destroyed homes, and left millions without electricity or water. The most affected populations are the poor communities. Nonprofit organizations have stepped in to address needs that government alone cannot. Local nonprofit partners are have asked us to help fund their recovery efforts on the ground. Solution All donations to this fund will support recovery efforts for Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Initially, the fund will help nonprofit organizations meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. Once initial relief work is complete, this fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in the Puerto Rican archipielago (includes the islands of Culebra and Vieques, as well as Puerto Rico). Long-Term Impact We believe that organizations that are deeply-rooted in local communities are in the best position to provide long-term support for survivors of natural disasters like Hurricanes Irma and Maria. By funding the relief efforts of local organizations, donations to this fund have the potential to build stronger response capacity so that these organizations are better equipped to face future challenges.

Association for Aid and Relief, Japan(AAR Japan) is a Non-Governmental Organization ( NGO ) aiming to provide emergency assistance, assistance to people with disabilities, and mine action, among other operations. It was established in 1979 as an organization with no political, ideological, or religious affiliation. AAR currently has offices in 10 countries.

Zambia has about 1 million orphans, this gives Zambia the highest per capita orphans rate in the world. One in every 4 household is a child headed home. About 65% of Zambians earn less than $1.25 per day. The Other Side Foundation is committed in nurturing at grassroots level, Orphans & Vulnerable children through an integrated Values Based Education (Education in Human Values), Nutrition and Health care. We further empower the widows, grandmothers and single mothers of our students through evening adult education, skills training & microloans/seed funding. The Other Side Foundation promotes gender equality and believes that every child needs to eat at least a meal/day, have access to basic healthcare and education.
