YKIP is a foundation committed to improving the lives of marginalized communities in Bali by breaking the cycle of poverty through educational support and services. The targets of marginalized communities are: (1) children from economically disadvantaged families; (2) social groups who suffer from disaster; (3) orphans; and (3) physically disabled.

The Task Force on Family Violence of Milwaukee, Inc. (TFFV) provides advocacy, education and access resources to keep people safe. TFFV is a leader in addressing the problem of domestic violence and the myriad of needs of survivors in our community. Our leadership and innovative thinking has created a rich history and strong foundation for our work.

We are a privately-owned voluntary foundation seeking to promote the development of low-income areas in the Republic of Guatemala, especially for those people who live in the rural areas of the highlands, by innovative projects avoiding patriarchy to guaranteea better living standard. All of this under a sustainable development framework with absolute respect for human dignity, culture and traditions.

The Foundation provides a space of familiarity and mentoring to children, adolescents and young people who inhabit the south west of Bogota, promoting their social development through the teaching of techniques, knowledge and skills for life, so that they can empower and transform their environments which have been characterized by conflict. The work is developed through reading clubs, pedagogical and cooperative entrepreneurships, and by promoting participation and leading roles in all activities.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and the general community through programs that help to achieve the maximum possible level of functionality, independence and autonomy. Our objectives are: contribute to the promotion of health and prevention of disability, promote the development, the recovery and maintain the functional level, through Rehabilitation and re-aptation, contribute to the development of skills for school and work for the integration of people with disabilities and promote social participation of people with disabilities by raising awareness and eliminating barriers within the society. FONTEN is a project we have built together, it's a future we are passionate about. Sacrifices have been made by all of us in these past two years during the process of attaining Government Recognition as a Foundation. Programs have been suspended due to lack of financial resources and we have tightened our belts. This dedication and commitment to the Foundation's goals by a local, experienced staff is something that has enabled us to persevere and will contribute to the success of future endeavors.

Mission Statement: The Colorado Haiti Project works in partnership with rural Haitian communities to support their rise out of extreme poverty. The Colorado Haiti Project (CHP) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to extend aid to the poorest of the poor in a rural area called Petit Trou de Nippes, about 80 miles west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. CHP is supported entirely by donations from private individuals, local and national foundations, faith communities, and service organizations.

1) Provide timely humanitarian relief in emergencies to help people whose lives have been threatened by conflicts and natural disasters. 2) Assist communities whose social foundations have been destroyed by providing rehabilitation and development cooperation for self-sustainability. 3) Pursue conflict prevention and resolution through our field activities. 4) Raise public awareness by disseminating information on assistance needs. 5) Put forward proposals for improving the effectiveness of relief-providing mechanisms in society.

Indigenous Health Solutions is a trans-disciplinary collective of pioneers driven by a passion for service to the Earth, and the poorest and most remote communities on it. Through the lens of planetary health, where shifts in natural systems are prioritized in examination of human health, experts in conservation, health, anthropology, and business come together with those in need to craft and implement culturally informed and community led solutions for development. Our programs are built upon the foundational principle that development must be indigenous, that is, planned in partnership with those in need and rooted in the place of delivery, reflecting practical awareness of the interconnection between health, conservation, livelihood, and education.

Action for Mothers and Children (AMC) has been at the forefront of efforts to improve maternal and child health in Kosovo since 2009. It was founded initially under the name 'Foundation for Healthy Mothers and Babies' with the support of Dr. James Strickler, Emeritus Co-Chair, Board of Directors of the International Rescue Committee and Emeritus Dean at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth University. Influential individuals from health, business, culture and economic sectors from Kosovo, U.S., and Diaspora (including among others Ardiana Bunjaku, Jehona Gjurgjeala, Rexhep Hoxha, Richard Lukaj, Bekim Ahmetaj, Ilirjana Bajraktari, George Little, Philip Sigwart, Ilir Hoxha and recently princess to be Elia Zaharia) joined the efforts to support the cause and grew the foundation into today's Action for Mothers and Children since 2013. Today's foundation is fully empowered and locally led by a devoted Board of Trustees and with the support from the Ministry of Health. AMC's Medical Advisory Committee comprises leading Kosovar medical professionals, and advises the Board of Trustees and staff on clinical, technical, policy, program and health system issues. AMC's goal to save the lives of children and mothers in Kosovo is realized through four program streams: 1) Education, 2) Supply, 3) Research, and 4) Advocacy. AMC has extensive experience in implementing similar projects funded by international agencies and foundations. AMC's long history of successful initiatives that address maternal and child health (MCH) issues, include the establishment of Women's Health Resource Centers in three cities, specifically in Prishtina, Mitrovica, and Ferizaj, Shterpce, and Kacanik totaling to five (5) WHRCs. These Centers have supported over 1,300 women since January 2015, educating them on their pregnancy, delivery and newborn care. The UCCK Women's Health Resource Center has direct access to women admitted to the hospital, either waiting to give birth or having recently given birth. This represents over 10,000 women each year from all over Kosovo, with approximately 50% from rural areas and those outside of Pristina (since UCCK is the country's only referral hospital). Of specific note, all women from Mitrovica come to UCCK for delivery since there is no local facility. Recognizing the value these Centers provide the local community, the Ministry of Health has stated it would like to see a Women's Health Resource Centers in each municipality. In response, AMC will seek to open further Centers, subject to funding, and will prioritize locations that have highly diverse and economically poor communities. Following the opening of Centers, AMC aims at building a system of continuous education and improvement of relations among patients and health care providers. In August 2016, AMC launched the online platform beba-ks, which is an online extension of the WHRCs, providing evidence based information on pregnancy, child care, difficulties encountered by new mothers and fathers, and many other important topics in three languages - Albanian, English, and Serbian. Additionally, AMC has been developing the new mobile app. which provides an easily accessible and user-friendly means for new mothers to access and obtain information on lectures schedules, read about various topics, and store information that is important during labor, i.e. contractions calculator. All activities are accompanied by continuous meetings of staff to share experiences, refresher trainings, as well as trainings for all new topics added to the classes' curricula. AMC works with national businesses (e.g. IPKO, Albi Group), international foundations (e.g. Americares, Direct Relief) and international corporations (e.g. Abbott Pharmaceuticals) to donate life-saving equipment to hospitals in Kosovo. AMC also works with international Universities and think-tanks (e.g. Dartmouth University, 700 for Science), global foundations (e.g. Solidar Suisse) and multilateral organizations (e.g. UNFPA, World Health Organization) on MCH research and advocacy programs. AMC is a registered not-for-profit organization (NGO) in Kosovo. Deloitte audits its financials annually. Our mission is: - To advocate vigorously for better healthcare for women and children throughout the Republic of Kosovo; - To study their health problems and health care systems that address these problems; - To develop programs and projects that will help to improve the health of women and children; - To accord high priority to those activities that will reduce Kosovo's relatively high maternal and infant mortality rates; - To collaborate with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders that have similar goals and objectives.

The Children’s Bureau mission is to help children succeed and excel at leading happy, healthy, productive lives through a combination of prevention, treatment, research and advocacy. Children’s Bureau is committed to providing vulnerable children — especially in the early years — the foundation necessary to become caring and productive adults by: preventing child abuse and neglect both at home and in the community; protecting, nurturing and treating abused children; enhancing the potential of families and communities to meet the needs of their children by bringing them together to create safe and secure environments; advancing the welfare of children and families through superior programs in foster care, adoptions, child development, parent education, mental health, research and advocacy.

Our mission is to aid and support children suffering from poverty, sickness, lack of education or who have experienced physical or moral violence, by offering them the opportunity and the hope of a new life. It is an independent, lay organisation and is also designated an ONLUS (Non-profit organisation of social value). It operates without discrimination of culture, ethnicity and religion and upholds the United Nations rights of the child. The Foundation works around the world and is closest to the weakest and most neglected children offering them food, medicine, health care, education and programmes for social reintegration. In pursuing its goal, Mission Bambini is inspired by the following values: freedom, justice, truth, respect for others and solidarity.
