I Have A Dream Charitable Trust

Have a Dream NZ is a charitable organisation focused on creating positive generational change and equality for Kiwi kids, families and communities, by supporting the development of academic and life skills within a child's educational years. Since 2003, I Have a Dream has focused on helping Kiwi kids to transform their lives, futures and communities. The programme currently works in the Tikipunga and Otangarei communities of Whangarei and the intention is to be present for at least another 20 years, working holistically and in partnership with whanau, schools and the community. Our core long-term goal is to affect positive generational change and outcomes for any community we are involved with in Northland and Aotearoa.

swont optimist conductive education trust fund

What is the philosophy of Conductive Education? Conductive education is neither therapy, treatment nor cure. It recognizes motor disorders as chronic conditions which result in problems of learning or relearning which will respond to appropriate teaching. Conductive Education fully acknowledges that children or adults with motor disorders may have continuing medical needs, which will benifit from appropriate medical intervention. This does not deny the needs for teaching and learning. Conductive Education asserts that there is much more to living and development than the medical and the social. There is the phycological too and, as in every sphere of human life, this is best addressed by education in its wildest sense. Further, as in all excellent education, the goal of Conductive Education is to create autonomous learners who go on to learn, adapt and develop under their own direction, because that is how they now are.

Yayasan Ekosistem Gili Indah (Gili Eco Trust)

The Gili Eco Trust's mission is to create a sustainable island. To promote eco-tourism amongst businesses, stakeholders and visitors to ensure tourism doesn't create a detrimental effect to the natural environment. We aim to provide a healthy environment for traditional working animals through education of the horse cart drivers, free health and welfare clinics and employing more ethical standards. Along with this we run 2-3 free cat clinics per year with an ongoing TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) strategy to ensure a high standard of welfare for island cats. Also working in the marine environment to restore damaged and degraded coral reefs and to replenish natural fish populations whilst creating a safe environment for tourists and divers to interact with the natural environment without destructive consequences. Working in collaboration with the marine authorities to report illegal ocean disturbances, funding their patrols and educating the local community regarding fishing and anchoring regulations. To ensure that all waste created on Gili T is reduced to minimum levels through education, awareness, consultation, collection, recycling, and transportation. We strive to teach and ensure that waste is managed and separated properly for recycling projects where materials can be transported off the island. To ensure the livelihoods of the local community is enhanced.
