Women In Need Society of Calgary (WINS)

Women In Need Society (WINS) is a charitable organization in Calgary. Established in 1992, WINS’ mission is to help women help themselves through innovative and effective programs and services. WINS works with women in low-income situations. This includes: - women coming out of shelters - single mothers and their children - women in transition - new Canadians WINS goal is that women have the resources, knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve self-sufficiency. At WINS we understand that to develop human potential to its fullest we must do more than simply provide for the basic human needs of food, clothing, and shelter. Our approach is to work step by step to help women help themselves.

ALTERNATIVES FOR WOMEN IN PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY

At Alternatives for Women we provide non-judgemental, supportive counselling from a femininst perspective. We advocate on behalf of women and children and we provide public education about the issuses that concern women who have experienced domestic violence. All of our counselling services are free and confidential.
