Education For All (EFA) believes that education a basic human right, and that educated girls educate the next generation. EFA focuses on girls from rural, remote areas of Morocco's High Atlas region who are missing out on secondary education due to living too far away from schools and being too poor to afford transport. EFA was founded in 2007 to respond to the high levels of illiteracy (estimated at 70%) amongst girls in the most deprived and remote areas of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Instead of going to school, girls were staying home, doing domestic chores, marrying young and remaining in the cycle of poverty with limited choices in life. The 3 main obstacles for girls in rural Morocco to access school are Their villages are too far away from the secondary schools Their families are too poor to afford the travel costs There is low awareness of and value for educating girls THE SIMPLE SOLUTION EFA builds and runs safe and well equipped girls' boarding houses. We currently accommodate 250 girls in 6 houses, from the ages of 12-18 yrs. The EFA houses are a 'home away from home'. They are staffed by local women which helps to create an environment where their culture is respected and trust is built with the local community. They have 3 nutritious meals a day, hot showers, computer rooms and plenty of books and learning support. We also run an international volunteer programme to support the girls in their studies and activities which broaden their horizons. OR $85 per month or $1000 per year. IMPACT The short-term impact of EFA's work is that many girls now have the opportunity to go to school who otherwise would be at home. Since 2007 we have given access to a full secondary education for 370 girls. These girls are now young women want to become lawyers, scientists, teachers and entrepreneurs! We now have over 130 girls enrolled at University since 2013, with two now studying their Master's Degrees, 3 on full university scholarships and one who just graduated to become a Biology teacher. The longer-term impact is that these young women will be able to become financially independent, contribute to the workforce and economy and have more choice and voice in their families and society, ensuring progressive equality for future generations. They have also inspired a positive shift in attitudes in their communities towards educating girls, and are strong role models to their sisters and friends, demonstrating what is possible for them and how to realise their potential through education.

Girls Education Mission International was emerged out of a pressing need among young women and girls who face gender-based discrimination and are therefore deprived of education and training opportunities to attain a better life. Dreamt and begun in 2007, Girls Education Mission International was officially registered in 2011 in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with registration number (CAC/IT/NO 45818). It was also registered with the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with registration number (RN:SC 321400084). Despite improvements in global and national laws and policies that provide the normative framework for women to advance their rights, it is imperative to acknowledge that a vast number of girls continue to experience violence and gender discrimination at home, in schools and in their communities especially when it comes to getting an education. As part of our smart and creative strategy to better the lives of humanity, we are committed to eradicating poverty, building peace and creating sustainable impact among young women and girls using education to achieve this aim. We believe that girls education and empowerment is the vital tool to harness innovation to improvise novel solution that are not only smart and creative but also more effective, efficient and just in achieving demonstrable results when it comes to tackling the challenges continue to face globally. GEM works directly with girls, parents, teachers, and community leaders, all of whom are the ultimate drivers and stewards of meaningful change for themselves, their families and their communities.

ONFE is a hub for education, business and community partners committed to helping Ottawa students reach their full potential. Our programs have two main areas of focus: Student Support: For some K-12 students, wanting to learn is not enough. Coming to school on an empty stomach, learning disabilities, and substance abuse issues are examples of challenges that some students must face. Together we have introduced programs that help to address these and other barriers to learning. ONFE serves more than 50,000 students each year. Career Preparation: Through partnerships with the local business community, ONFE offers K-12 students “real world” learning opportunities. With the support of business mentors, students explore entrepreneurship as a career option, learn financial literacy, basic business skills and also connect schools with local experts who introduce students to the latest in technology, offering hands-on learning and career exploration opportunities.

Pathways to Education Canada is a charitable organization that helps youth in low-income communities graduate from high school and successfully transition into post-secondary education or training. Pathways to Education addresses systemic barriers to education by providing leadership, expertise and a community-based program proven to lower dropout rates. Founded in 2001, Pathways operates in 12 communities across Canada, with programs in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Manitoba.

Norwalk Grassroots Tennis & Education's mission is to improve the lives of children from families of low income through tennis, education, life skills and leadership programs at no cost to the participant.

OYE Foundation is committed to improving the relationship between ESL youth, reading, and education in schools. OYE volunteers are educational influencers in the lives of young students. The book series OYE Imagined directly empowers youth to pursue further education, get excited about reading, support bilingualism and become their best selves in school!

The Center for Arts Education (CAE) is dedicated to ensuring that all New York City public school students have quality arts learning as an essential part of their K-12 education. CAE is the only organization in New York working through direct service programs in schools; professional development for school leaders, classroom teachers and teaching artists; and active advocacy and public engagement to inform and influence educational and fiscal policies in support of a well-rounded education for all children that includes the arts.
