Escondido Education COMPACT is a unique and nontraditional (nonprofit public benefit) organization designed to provide support and services for at-risk youth in North San Diego County. COMPACT has been a youth workforce development specialist for over 25 years - providing youth (14-24) with work readiness training and linkages to employment. We work with local businesses and industry to provide enriching educational and career exploration for all students who access our programs. We pull together all of Inland North County's various and diverse resources for the benefit of our entire community.

Daraja is a secondary boarding school established for Kenyan girls with top academic scores and exceptional leadership skills but no means of continuing their education. Beyond a full scholarship and academic rigor, the academy provides shelter, food, healthcare and counseling services so students may focus on their academic and personal potential without the everyday barriers they would otherwise face. Established in 1982, the FCNL Education Fund is a 501(c)3 organization that works in concert with the Friends Committee on National Legislation, a 501(c)4 Quaker nonprofit.

Education Beyond Borders (formerly Teachers Without Borders - Canada), incorporated in 2007, is devoted to closing the education divide through teacher professional development and community education. EBB is supported entirely by individual donors and corporate/foundation grants. We work primarily, but not exclusively, in developing countries, to build self-reliance, health, and capacity. We seek to empower by developing and implementing seminars and workshops that are consistent with best educational practices and sensitive to the host country’s curricula. With the help of technology, EBB will also create a network of teachers and their peers from various countries to collaborate on lessons that would allow their students to work together on topics of global importance and relevance. We seek to create sustainable relationships that will enhance our own classrooms by infusing our curriculum with global experiences and cultures through joint student projects.
