Project Fit America (PFA) is a national non -profit organization that creates and administers exemplary fitness in education programming in schools, grades K-8. Under this umbrella we address self-esteem, fitness and exercise as fun, understanding their body, as well as, leadership, sportsmanship and character development. The program goal is to reverse the lack of fitness in youth to give teachers the tools they need to teach children to take responsibility for their health and embrace healthy lifestyle choices with enthusiasm. Our mission is to get kids fit and to create programs that assure every child will find something at which they are very good at and inspire them to participate in more fitness activities. We create the opportunity for all kids, not just the already gifted athletes, to discover, explore, improve and be recognized for their physical, mental and fitness efforts and performance.
Coleman Advocates believes that all children and families deserve access to high quality education, living wage jobs, family-supporting benefits, affordable housing, and a voice in the decisions that affect us. Since 1975, Coleman Advocates has pioneered programs and policies to expand opportunity for San Francisco’s children, youth and families, Many of these hard-won programs and policies have served as models adopted by communities all over the country. Coleman currently focuses on building more effective, equitable, and supportive public schools in San Francisco and beyond. We believe the transformation of our educational system requires the involvement of the entire community—not just teachers, school administrators, and politicians. Our organizational model has evolved over the years and today combines the development of rigorous policy proposals and implementation plans with deep community engagement and leadership development involving youth and parents.
Teach For Austria's mission is to provide that every child in Austria has got access to quality education, regardless of their socioeconomical background. Teach For Austria is working towards the "Vision 2050": all children have got the chance to live a good life, irrespective of the level of education and/or the income of their parents. At Teach For Austria we facilitate educational opportunities for socioeconomically disadvantaged students by building a movement of top graduates who become inspiring teachers and leading actors for social change - the so-called "Fellows". The Fellows do not only have a direct impact on their students, they also strengthen and improve existing efforts within low-income schools and kindergardens. Consequently they increase educational opportunities for our target group: socioeconomically disadvantaged children. Fellows support Teach for Austria's vision in the long run as they become leaders who are driving systemic change in the educational field.

Professional counsellors are available any time of the day or night, 365 days a year, to help young people deal with concerns large or small. As a community-based charity who receives no core government funding, Kids Help Phone relies strictly on individual and corporate donations to fund these vital services. Children and teens contact Kids Help Phone about every issue imaginable – from school, dating and family problems, to depression, abuse and suicide. For many children in rural areas, Kids Help Phone is the only way they can access professional counsellors in an atmosphere of safety and confidentiality. Many of the kids who contact us cannot or will not approach parents or teachers in their community for fear of reprisals and embarrassment.

The Jardin d’enfants de Sutton is a community preschool for children from 3 to 5 years old. Since 1975, the non-profit organization has operated in our community. Managed by a volunteer board of directors elected from among the parents at the beginning of each school year, the organization functions democratically — with an emphasis on family involvement. Board members consult on managerial decisions concerning the preschool and also direct and participate in fundraising activities. From September to May, children are welcomed to the preschool three mornings a week. Two bilingual teachers work together to prepare educational themes to be developed with the children throughout the year, including outings and related activities. The preschool’s objectives include offering children a preparatory education for school, a positive socializing experience and a stimulating environment where children can develop social skills, as well as gross and fine motor skills.
