Camp He Ho Ha provides adapted recreational week-long camps to children and adults ranging in age from 6 to 104 and who come to us from communities large and small throughout the province. Someone in your area is benefitting from our barrier-free facility and specialized programming. We are not a member agency of United Way, nor do we receive municipal funding. We are an independent nonprofit and we rely on the generosity of Albertans like you to ensure that we can continue to provide the best possible programming to the greatest number of people at the lowest possible cost. Because of our very successful facility rental program, 100% of your donation is applied to summer camp direct costs. Your gift in any amount is greatly appreciated and will benefit some of our province's most disadvantaged residents. In Ottawa, 38,000 Aboriginal people make up less than 5% of the population, but 30% of our homeless. Rates of poverty, suicide, addiction, incarceration and high school drop-out are anywhere from double to ten times as likely to occur among Aboriginal people compared to the general population. Wabano is reversing these trends, with over 10,000 Aboriginal people using our programs and services each year.
