The American Foundation for Children with AIDS (AFCA) is a non-profit organization providing critical comprehensive services to infected and affected HIV+ children and their caregivers. Our programs are efficient, promoting self-reliance and sustainability. Since 2005, in collaboration with our in-country partners, we have served tens of thousands of families in some of the most underserved and marginalized communities in Africa. Our areas of impact include: medical support, livelihoods, educational support and emergency relief. Currently, AFCA is transforming lives in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Fernside provides no‑cost peer support groups, camps, school programs and crisis outreach to children, teens, and families who have experienced a death, and it works to raise community awareness and education about childhood grief.

The Victoria Society for Children with Autism (VSCA) supports children with autism and their families in a number of ways. We have monthly meetings where members can get a chance to talk with other parents, hear the occasional guest speaker, and sign out books, DVD’s, OT equipment and educational materials from our lending library. Through our newsletter, you’ll find out about the latest happenings at VSCA and in the Victoria area. There is also a small pool of respite funding available to our members. VSCA holds several workshops each year on autism-related topics - these already-inexpensive events are available at a reduced price to our members, and are always held here in Victoria. VSCA holds social events to allow families to meet one another in a supportive and understanding environment. We offer a range of activities so there are events that will appeal to children of all ages, and give them a chance to form friendships with peers sharing similar interests.

The mission of Spence-Chapin is to provide adoption and adoption related services of the highest quality. The agency focuses on: finding adoptive homes for infants and young children who need families; promoting the understanding of adoption through counseling and public education; and improving adoption's image and practice.

Our mission is to support and improve the quality and availability of care for the young people of Hawaii. PATCH is a community service organization dedicated to supporting Hawaii’s child care needs. We help families find the right child care. We offer FREE resources on choosing and paying for child care, child development, parenting, becoming a child care provider, and other useful resources right at your fingertips. Recently, PATCH launched a Homeless Outreach program to address community needs and to assist young children in Hawaii who are experiencing homelessness by offering them resources for their survival, care, education, nutrition and health. Every 14 seconds, a child is orphaned by AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. Nyumbani serves these abandoned children in Kenya, providing a loving home, medical services and community-based care in the slum communities of Nairobi. Nyumbani Village is a self-sustaining community to serve orphans and elders who have been left behind by the "lost generation" of the AIDS pandemic.

Advocates for Children of New York (AFC)'s mission is to ensure a high-quality education for New York students who face barriers to academic success, focusing on students from low-income backgrounds. AFC achieves this through four integrated strategies: free advice and legal representation for families of students; free trainings and workshops for parents, communities, and educators and other professionals, to equip them to advocate on behalf of students; policy advocacy to effect change in the education system and improve education outcomes; and impact litigation to protect the right to quality education and compel needed reform.

EERC mission is to facilitate communication and forge friendships between students from Romania and USA. We believe that exposure to other cultures is invaluable in shaping the younger generation views of the world and of their own potential in positive and enduring ways. We create opportunity for middle school students from Romania to experience American life by attending overnight camps or living with a local family while attending local day camps. This experience opens further opportunities for them to pursue when they return home. Equally important is to present these vibrant young people as ambassadors of the Romanian culture. In our experience, the Americans whose lives they touch find these interactions enriching and gain new insights about other cultures. These shared experiences produce benefits to both sides that extend long beyond the immediate experience, even to subsequent interactions that occur beyond our program. We select students who demonstrate the intellectual and emotional maturity to benefit from this unique opportunity. They are boys and girls from various areas of Romania who are fluent in English and who demonstrate strong academic and personal characteristics. With our help, this rising generation will be engaging in a world without borders. We bring the world closer to home.

We meet kids and families at the most challenging times of their lives and help them overcome some of life's most difficult circumstances – abuse and neglect, complex emotional and behavioral issues, and family crises. We offer to help assist during these hard times through residential treatment services, individual and family therapy, and community based services.

Our hospital is a non-profit private institution that offers health services with emphasis on highly-complex patient care. It centers its economic effort on those patients who need service but cannot afford to pay for it. It performs its task with a comprehensive human focus, quality, and ethics with qualified and committed personnel. The Hospital also participates in the development of human talent and in research development in health areas to contribute to the generation of knowledge.
