Access Alliance works to promote health, wellbeing and improved access to services for immigrants and refugees in Toronto. From a location in downtown Toronto and our ACCESSPOINT locations in the east and west ends of the city, we provide primary health care, community programs, settlement services, and LGBTQ- and youth-focused programming to help newcomers, refugees, immigrants and their families in Toronto address medical, social, economic, environmental, settlement and integration issues. We are a leader in community-based research and advocacy on issues related to the determinants of health and wellbeing and increasing access to services for marginalized groups. We actively seek to break down silos and build linkages with other agencies to increase access to the services needed by immigrants and refugees. Davenport-Perth is a multi-service agency located in the west end of Toronto. At DPNC we encourage people to work together and take action to improve the political, social, economic, spiritual and cultural life of the whole community. Working in partnership with other community and city-wide organizations, we provide support and a wide range of flexible, responsive and barrier-free services to help our participants effectively manage the issues, concerns and problems they are facing.
Typically ANIQUEM patients are very poor – CAFA programmes provide support Including: CAFA transport program provides transport (bus fare and meal) for patient and caregiver to come to clinic on regular basis without which many patients could not afford to visit the clinic at all CAFA Recreation program provides 2 3-day camps per year for up to 40 burn survivors providing friendly camp surroundings where the children can relax 'and just be kids'. CAFA Surgery provides for individual surgery support for identified cases. Surgery takes place at clinics in Lima. CAFA recently collaborated with ANIQUEM and INTERPLAST on a 10 day campaign corrective surgery campaign at a hospital near Lima. Eighteen ANIQUEM patients were treated with all transport and accommodation funded by CAFA.
