Nurse Heroes seeks to provide every nurse with the resources and opportunities they need and create a future without a shortage of nurses. As an accelerating shortage of nurses around the world exists, if nothing changes within three years we will have about 1 million fewer nurses than we require in the United States and a shortage of 2 million nurses in Europe. It is a similar trend globally. The organization is committed to informing and inspiring the world to help create a future without a shortage of nurses and nurse practitioners, celebrating nurses through the arts with celebrity concert series, monthly art contests, and nurse choir performances.

Established in 2005, The GEANCO Foundation saves and transforms lives in Africa. We conduct complex surgical missions and run an innovative program to fight anemia in Nigeria. Volunteers Around the World (VAW) is a humanitarian organization and social enterprise devoted to improving the standard of living for those that live in some of the most poverty stricken communities of the world. Our focus is to provide communities with access to medical, dental and veterinary treatment, medication, nutritional security, clean water and health education.

The mission of Bikes for the World is to make affordable, good quality used bicycles available to low-income people, primarily in developing countries. These donated bikes provide better transport for work, education, and health care. Bikes for the World also generates additional skilled employment in bike repair and maintenance overseas, and provides satisfying environmental and humanitarian service opportunities for volunteers in the United States.
