We partner with governments in Asia to help create a positive alternative to institutional care (orphanages) through local family-based care for disadvantaged children. Our vision is to see a million children moved from orphanages into local foster families.

CHW SUPPORTS CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS IN LESS DEVELOPED PARTS OF THE WORLD, THROUGH GIVING GRANTS TO LOCAL ORGANISATIONS, WHICH WORK WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE EVERYDAY. GRANTS ARE GIVEN TO PROJECTS WHICH RELIEVE POVERTY, ADVANCE EDUCATION, RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROMOTE GOOD HEALTH AND OFFER RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THE CHILDREN'S AND TEENAGERS' SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES.

Founded in 2004 by a group of young professionals who believed people can make a difference, HandsOn Shanghai is an officially registered non-profit organization with the Shanghai Civil Affair Bureau since 2010. Governed by a board of 11 members, the HandsOn Shanghai volunteer platform helps to bridge the divide that exists between individuals who are looking to give back to their community and the organizations that would benefit from the support that volunteers can provide. With a primary objective of providing flexible volunteer opportunities for busy professionals and serving local charities in needs, HOS manages a big group of volunteers and a diverse range of community service projects in Shanghai Currently we engage more than 2500 volunteers each month through more than 150 local service projects. Projects that benefit the young and old through long term, committed, partnerships with more than 75 project partners. With our mission is to promote volunteerism, inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world, we envision a world in which individuals, students, and corporate leaders are able to discover (and harness) their power to make a difference, participate as volunteers, and participants in the development of healthy, vibrant, and resilient communities.

Health Poverty Action's charitable purpose is 'to preserve and protect the health, through the provision of primary health care, of communities who receive little or no external assistance because of political instability and / or conflict'. Our Vision: a future where every child experiences a childhood full of play and laughter Mission: to bring play and laughter to sick and underpriviledged children A little history: We were born 2003 in the Beijing Children Hospital , one of the largest children hospital in the world. We saw the lack of support programs for sick children. Based on "Xiao ye shi yao" = "Laughter is the best medicine" we were given the green light by the hospital administration to send in the clowns to visit the hospitalized children, pioneering a clown program in the Chinese hospital. The Clown program has been running nonstop every week for the past 14 years now. Our name " Magic Hospital" came natural, chosen for a) our desire to turn a hospital into a less frightening place for children, and b) for our mindset to appear out of the blue to help, to simply brighten a day , just like magic. Our tagline is "Laughter is the best medicine - Be a doctor and send a smile" as we believe everybody can brighten a day. Over the years we saw more and more need for our activities and have added other programs: Playtime: Volunteers visit the hospitalised children, and play , paint, read, sing with them, currently every Saturday morning at Huaxin hospital, a facility for children who had or about to have cardiac surgery. We are expanding this program to other locations. Outdoorsy Day - Children living in institutions, orphanages, from migrant workers etc often lack all those fun events that we take for granted such as excursions, hopping into a swimming pool, participate in a soccer camp, visiting a zoo, watch a movie , a play in theatre, cooking classes etc. so we added this program to remedy this, it runs outside of hospitals and aims at underpriviledged and at risk children. Abracadabra - our make a wish program for sick children, pure joy when a wish of a child gets fulfilled, for example the boy who had been hospitalised and desperately wanted to see his grandmother, we organised her visit. The program is currently on hold till we find a coordinator. Gift giving program - we organise seasonal gift drives and spread the toys across the orphanages and hospitals. We also have special adhoc projects lasting from 2 weeks to 12 months. We are fully registered under French law 1901, and have a Governing Board that consists of 4 experienced and seasoned board members. Magic Hospital is a member of the International Play Association (IPA) which promotes Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Right of the Child: every child has the right to engage in play and recreational activities, to participate in cultural life and arts. .

MISSION: Concordia Welfare & Education Foundation is a Hong Kong based non-profit organization founded by Lutheran Christians and dedicated to improving the lives of impoverished rural communities in Asia through education and service. We partner with local communities, organizations and governments to identify sources of poverty and implement programs in the areas of education and community health. We believe education creates opportunities for people to change their lives and create a new future. VISION: Thriving communities, serving and inspiring hope in others.

1) Provide timely humanitarian relief in emergencies to help people whose lives have been threatened by conflicts and natural disasters. 2) Assist communities whose social foundations have been destroyed by providing rehabilitation and development cooperation for self-sustainability. 3) Pursue conflict prevention and resolution through our field activities. 4) Raise public awareness by disseminating information on assistance needs. 5) Put forward proposals for improving the effectiveness of relief-providing mechanisms in society.

1. Bethel supports the projects started by its founders, Guillaume and Delphine Gauvain: Bethel China (in China), SPACE (in the Philippines) and Project Butterfly (Worldwide). 2. Bethel also empowers projects which have been identified as solid projects. The empowerment comes in the form of financial support and/or coaching to its leaders.

MAITS is an international disability charity whose mission is to improve the lives of some of the world's poorest people with developmental disabilities and the lives of their families, through better access to and quality of health and education services and support. We provide education, training and support for those working with and caring for persons with developmental disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism and global learning disabilities to ensure they are able to achieve their full potential in a way that is sustainable and inclusive. We support people with disabilities in the following ways: The training of healthcare and education professionals, community workers, families and carers- to better understand their conditions and build their skills and knowledge to ensure persons with disabilities have better access to and improved quality of services. The development of training materials and resources on disability- the training materials are tested out and adapted to the local context, and when needed, translated into the local language, to ensure high quality care for those with disabilities. Linking organisations that need training with those who are able to provide it- through our website and through our database of 208 volunteer therapists and educators. In addition to facilitating face-to-face training, MAITS has an ongoing programme of resource development, designing tools that assist in the support and inclusion of individuals with particular needs, whether it be at home, school, in healthcare provisions or elsewhere in the community, in low-resource settings. We have a small team of specialists who create resources and we connect those looking for training with those who can provide it.
