Community Connections was founded and established in March 2002 as a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation. As a licensed Child Placing Agency, Community Connections provides foster homes and supportive services for children who are in the temporary legal custody of the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in Georgia.

CAWC is committed to ending domestic violence. Using a self-help, empowerment approach, we provide counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline for people affected by domestic violence, including a shelter for women and children. We work for social change through education, service collaboration, and institutional advocacy.

Access to Education for All The main current active project of Awakened Connections is the Akha Children's Dream Home.

Lonestar Fostering Connections is the newest aspect of Lonestar Social Services. As their mission is coming to fruition they knew now was the time to bring about this change. Lonestar Fostering Connections is their 501 (c) (3) non profit, created exclusively for the benefit of foster children. The caring staff at Lonestar have all dedicated their lives to making a difference in the lives of these children.
