The Steelman Family Foundation

We assist families with children 3-18 who are wheelchair bound, purchase wheelchair accessible vehicles. Through the foundation and its board of directors, SFF focuses its activities in the Portland and SW Washington area. Through special events like the annual “Boo Who?” a family focused Halloween event held every October, SFF raises funding to support families touched by various disabilities focusing mostly on Cerebral Palsy and Autism. Transportation, scholarships, respite care, caregiver support activities are just a few of the ways SFF gives back.

The Other Side Foundation

Zambia has about 1 million orphans, this gives Zambia the highest per capita orphans rate in the world. One in every 4 household is a child headed home. About 65% of Zambians earn less than $1.25 per day. The Other Side Foundation is committed in nurturing at grassroots level, Orphans & Vulnerable children through an integrated Values Based Education (Education in Human Values), Nutrition and Health care. We further empower the widows, grandmothers and single mothers of our students through evening adult education, skills training & microloans/seed funding. The Other Side Foundation promotes gender equality and believes that every child needs to eat at least a meal/day, have access to basic healthcare and education.

The Main Place provides new clothing and personal items for homeless teens and individuals/families that are in need.Our service evolved from focusing on homeless teens in school and expanded to include their babies, siblings and parents. Additionally, we serve victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, fire, flood, hurricanes and other tragedies.The Main Place ensures every client has the ultimate shopping experience complete with their own personal "image consultant".Our goals are to: *Furnish trendy, age appropriate, well fitting clothing *Enable them to fit in*Reduce or remove their financial burden* Raise their self esteem *Show them God's love through our service. We want to change the image they have of themselves so they can be who they were created to be.

The agency offers no-cost crisis pregnancy counseling, domestic and international adoption programs, foster-care/older-child placement, and ongoing post-adoption support to promote safe, permanent, and loving families.

Filling in the Blanks works to reduce childhood hunger by providing weekend meal bags to children who rely on school meals, and by operating school-based pantries and a mobile pantry to deliver fresh and staple foods to families. The organization partners with schools and community groups across Fairfield, Westchester, and Putnam counties to increase food access and connect families with wrap‑around services.
