The Izzy Foundation provides services and support to those families with children who have debilitating diseases. Our Foundation has a unique understanding of the hardships that families go through during long hospital stays, because we have been there, too. Our founders, many of our board members, and our directors have also sat in hospital waiting rooms for days, weeks and months while our children receive exceptional care. The Foundation hopes to continue to develop spaces and programs for children with cancer and their families that will enable them to continue to live, love, laugh and play. The CBP Foundation supports U.S. Customs and Border Protection employees and their families by providing financial assistance and other emergency aid when staff face tragedy, serious injury, illness, or other urgent needs.

THE BLINDNESS FOUNDATION works in Burma/Myanmar,Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines & Thailand. Our mission is: "HELP US,HELP OTHERS, HELP THEMSELVES" -working with local eye Doctors in these SE Asian countries to help prevent & cure blindness. This is achieved through education, training and mission supply for outreach cataract surgery programs to the rural & urban poor . To date for example we have over the last two decades, contributed lens implants that have been implanted in over 65,000 patients' eyes to help them see again -curing their blindness. Ongoing training and education, upgrades the knowledge and skill -sets of young Eye Doctors in training so that they can treat their own people better, without reliance on outside Ophthalmologists. This builds their health care systems closer to modern world standards. We respond to specific requests for assistance in placing young Eye Doctors in residency & Fellowship programs out of country , Also supply of anti-fungals for the Burmese fishermen with corneal infections after the Nargis Cyclone hit the Irawaddy delta region of Myanmar. Our goal is sustainable self-sufficiency for eye care in these developing nations. We have annual missions that incorporate training & lectures at university based teaching hospitals where possible to assist their development. During these missions we process requests for equipment, traing and supplies and coordinate with industry in the US to raise supplies. Mission: To break multi-generational cycles of child abuse, neglect, and trauma. Vision: That all children will grow up in safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments. That child abuse and neglect is recognized as a serious public health concern that causes lifetime physical, psychological and behavioral problems for children and impacts communities for generations. Changing lives... Changing families... Changing futures Research demonstrates that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) have the potential to disrupt child development leading to potential life-long challenges, including poor emotional/physical health. While positive childhood experiences can build strong, healthy brains and lay the foundation for emotional/ social successes, negative experiences often perpetuate cycles of abuse, neglect, and trauma increasing behavioral problems, substance abuse, and incarceration rates. The Family Center works alongside families through group and in-home sessions helping parents recognize the impact of ACEs on early brain development, how to build resiliency in their children, and positive ways to engage with and support their children. We believe that community outreach, advocacy, and professional training is essential to increase awareness of the effects of ACEs community-wide and make systems changes to benefit generations of Tennesseans. The Family Center is a licensed child abuse prevention agency serving middle Tennessee.
