Heifer International's mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth in a sustainable way by supporting and investing alongside local farmers and their communities. Since 1944, Heifer has helped transform more than 52 million households by working in partnership with the communities we serve. Our programs support entrepreneurs around the world, creating lasting change from the ground up. It begins with a seed investment of livestock or agriculture, followed by mentorship to help project participants build a business, and ultimately to gain access to supply chains and markets. These families are able to earn a living income and continuously lift up their communities as they train the next generation of leaders. By supporting and training the world's farmers, ranchers, and female business owners, we're investing in a new breed of success. Girls Garage is a nonprofit design and building program and dedicated workspace for girls and female-identifying youth ages 9-18. Girls Garage is the first design and building workshop for female youth in the United States. Through after-school and summer pathways, Girls Garage provides free and low-cost programs in carpentry, welding, architecture, engineering, and activist art to a diverse community of 200 girls per year. Integrating technical skills, college/career guidance, and community leadership, our programs equip girls the tools to build the world they want to see. In our workshop in Berkeley and under the guidance of our highly skilled all-female staff, we invite girls to bring their creative voice and put them to work on real-world building projects that live in our community.

From crises to long term challenges, we tackle the causes and consequences of hunger. We save lives by preventing, detecting, and treating undernutrition. We enable people to provide for themselves, see their children grow up strong, and for whole communities to prosper. We constantly search for more effective solutions, while sharing our knowledge and expertise with the world.

SJICC USA raises funds in North America in support of charities in India with an excellent record of governance, transparency and impact. These charities provide much needed care for sick needy children. SJICC USA can provide a tax-effective way for residents and taxpayers of the USA to make donations to fund grant applications submitted by charities in India that meet our goals. Our current focus is to fund St. Jude India ChildCare Centers in Mumbai, but we have the flexibility to support allied charities in India that have adopted a model similar to that of St. Judes (www.stjudechild.org).

All Hands and Hearts provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief.

VIBHA's vision is to ensure that every underprivileged child attains his, or her right to health, education and opportunity - VIBHA educates, enables and empowers, individuals and companies, which wish to make a positive impact on the lives of under-privileged children - VIBHA brings together the combined skills and actions of volunteers, donors, social entrepreneurs and NGOs to a common platform to find sustainable solutions to the problems faced by underprivileged children.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals designed specially for starving children, and FMSC ships the meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.

USA for UNHCR is an independent nonprofit organization that provides support for the humanitarian work of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) through fundraising and education. The organization supports refugee protection and relief programs around the world, meeting needs by providing resources to the world's most vulnerable people. USA for UNHCR also informs Americans about the plight of refugees and the lifesaving work of the UN Refugee Agency.

Providing hope and resources for those without life's essentials

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC also endeavors to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is the origin of the Geneva Conventions and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It directs and coordinates the international activities conducted by the Movement in armed conflicts and other situations of violence.

International Medical Corps is a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and medical relief programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer United States doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care and economic systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.

The World Food Programme is the food assistance branch of the United Nations and the world's largest humanitarian organization addressing hunger and promoting food security.
