Easter Seals North Georgia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving children with disabilities and their families locally for over 50 years. We are an affiliate of the national organization, easter seals, inc. We provide high-quality services to ensure that all children with disabilities or other special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities. Vision: every family will have access to community resources that will strengthen and allow them to achieve self-sufficiency. Every child will start school healthy and ready to learn.

Jifundishe is a small, Tanzanian nonprofit that funds and manages projects for community development by providing educational opportunities. Jifundishe is the Kiswahili word for "to teach yourself." We believe in creating change for the community, and especially young women, through collaboration and both formal and informal education.

Founded in 1974, Homeward Bound of Marin strives to end homelessness in our community with training, housing and hope. Our programs range from emergency shelter to permanent supportive housing for families and individuals, combined with services like counseling and job training that help residents build a sustainable, independent future. We also operate several social enterprise businesses, including production of Wagster Treats dog biscuits and The Key Room event venue, that offer hands-on work experience to students and graduates while earning revenue to support our programs. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Homeward Bound plans to open 50 new units of housing for veterans and people moving back into the workforce.

Vision:To be a leading institution in children and young people's understanding of business concepts and work training. Venezuela's operation began in February, 1993. We are the local member nation representative of Junior Achievement Worldwide a global education non-for profit organization that began activities in the United States, founded by Horace Moses, Theodore Vail, and Sen. Murray Crane of Massachusetts in 1919. Junior Achievement began as a collection of small, after-school business clubs with educational and work training programs taught to public and private schools students. Currently, JA is present in 112 countries and almost everywhere in Latin America. We offer students and schools a wide portfolio of financial education education programs for them to receive the benefit of practical training that serves complement the traditional studies programs and facilitate young's people personal and professional development. We teach basic economics/business concepts and work training. We teach fundamental values for an integral development of young people. We offer managerial training of diverse types of virtual companies. We create dialogue opportunities between staff members of Companies and the students in order to offer an attractive image of the business world. We provide: The entrepreneur spirit by our example (role modeling) Values of respect, integrity and excellence. Education as the fundamental pillar of progress. Consolidation of dreams and goals by achieving the future today.

GWENS strives to empower and support all women but primarily women in crisis. We host fundraising events to raise both funds and awareness while we network and socialize with each other -- in an all female setting -- where we can focus on our unique needs.

The HBCU Foundation is a nationally-focused, federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose aim is to provide scholarship aid to deserving students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We partner with 102 public and private member-schools to: - Increase access, retention and graduation rates of all students - Identify and adequately equip students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities who have displayed significant leadership potential - Create a pipeline for hiring organizations of top-tier, well-rounded, HBCU students and alumni - Foster a new generation of entrepreneurially and globally-minded, HBCU student and alumni leaders

PUENTE’s mission is stated within its name: People United to Enrich the Neighborhood Through Education. “Puente” is also the Spanish word for “bridge.” Since 1985, the organization has offered a bridge to opportunity by addressing barriers preventing individuals in its at-risk neighborhoods from building strong educational foundations and achieving financial self-sufficiency. PUENTE provides California Standards-aligned classroom instruction to more than 4,100 children, youth, and adults annually. Its tuition-free services address the needs of the entire family – enabling children to develop a life-long love of learning, helping parents to be their children’s first teachers, supporting youth as they move toward high school graduation, and assisting adults in need of English-language competency and workforce skills.

Goodwill SoCal’s work is focused on “transforming lives through the power of work.” It operates retail and donation operations to fund and provide job training, career coaching, and placement services for people facing barriers to employment (including veterans, people with disabilities, disconnected youth, and those experiencing homelessness) across Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

Our program seeks to serve the regions and population groups of Bulgaria that are economically and socially challenged via a multi-faceted strategy of: 1. Marketplace entry for disadvantaged Bulgarians, meaning: socially disadvantaged citizens of any ethnic background - Roma, Pomak and Bulgarian. 2. Positive, observable business and community citizenship. 3. Sustainability of the current businesses - through our ongoing business consultancy our goal is to help already running and existing businesses pass the 18-months barrier and continue operating in a positive financial balance with potential to expand. Uniqueness of the Cornerstone Program: Business training and consultancy is available in Bulgaria, but it is fee based and thus socially disadvantaged people do not have the financial means to benefit from it. Our program is unique that is offers professional training and consultancy for free to socially disadvantaged people. Most other organizations offer training and consultancy mainly in the big cities. We conduct our trainings in the small towns and villages and we visit the businesses at their facility, thus they do not have to travel. Due to the relatively small loan amounts needed by our clients, they are often vulnerable to predatory lenders for their business loans. Cornerstone provides consultation to help avoid financing with predatory lenders.

The mission of Women Employed is to improve the economic status of women and remove barriers to economic equity. Women Employed has one passion: to make life better for working women. We believe that all women deserve full and fair economic opportunities. That means better career options and higher pay, more opportunities for training and education, and strict enforcement of fair employment laws. Women Employed is a leading national advocate for women's economic advancement. We analyze workplace issues, educate policy makers, and build support to improve opportunities and incomes. Since 1973, Women Employed has fought to outlaw pay discrimination, pregnancy discrimination and sexual harassment and to strengthen federal equal opportunity policies and work/family benefits.

It is the mission of Little Friends to empower children and adults with special challenges to live, learn, work and participate in the community. Since 1965, Little Friends has been dedicated to serving people with disabilities in our community. We are a local organization--based in Naperville, Illinois and serving families from throughout six counties in the western suburbs. But our influence extends far beyond the Chicago area. More than 50 school districts turn to us for assistance with some of their most challenging students. Families from all over Illinois attend our training for parents of children with autism. National conferences feature our staff as speakers. It is an honor for us to be able to share what we've learned with other professionals and families.

SITAWI's mission is to develop financial infrastructure for the social sector in Brazil. We believe that adequate funding and effective counseling strengthen social organizations and increase their impact on the causes and beneficiaries. In the long run, the more resources - in volume and forms - available to the social sector, the more encouragement social leaders have to develop more innovative and sustainable models with greater impact. And sooner we will build a better country.
