We are the region's largest hunger-relief network, improving food access for nearly 260,000 individuals across twelve counties in Northeast Florida who struggle to put food on the table. Proving food assistance to a service area covering 8,300 square miles - an area the size of the state of New Jersey - Feeding Northeast Florida distributed 34.6 million pounds of food in 2023, equivalent to more the 28.8 MILLION MEALS.Our mission is to use food as our catalyst to strengthen lives and communities. We envision a society where nutritious food can be accessed by all and believe that everyone deserves the food and resources required to live a healthy, productive life.

Community Food Connection works to eliminate hunger in Blount County by operating a volunteer-run food pantry and grocery-style distribution that provides groceries to any resident in need. They partner with regional hunger-relief networks and run programs (such as Path of Hope) to help clients meet immediate food needs and move toward greater self-sufficiency.

Since 1986, SFC has provided families with a hospitable place to receive nutritious food and needed clothing. Since our inception, we have expanded our basic services to include low income housing, ESL/GED programs, a small school, two huge community gardens, a chidren's community library, a lundry and shower, and an after-school youth & family center.SFC is a “place of miracles”; it was founded to provide food, clothing, and other essential services for “working poor” families who, though working at one and sometimes two low paying jobs, find it very difficult to pay both the exorbitant rental costs and provide basic necessities for their families. We strive to provide all services keeping forefront in our minds and actions our motto: “compassion not judgment."
