The Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood, Inc. serves over 350 families in the towns of Norwood and Westwood. They run 100% on volunteers!

The World Food Programme is the food assistance branch of the United Nations and the world's largest humanitarian organization addressing hunger and promoting food security.

In collaboration with our partners, we provide dignified, equitable and consistent access to nutritious food, creating a foundation for community health.

FEEST is an organization led by youth of color in South Seattle and South King County working to improve health in our schools. Focusing on the need for more healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant food at school, FEEST centers young people as leaders toward concrete changes in our food systems. Our mission is to set the table for young people to transform the health and equity of their community by gathering around food & working towards systems change. At the foundation of our work are youth-led dinners where students gather around food and build community with peers. Breaking bread together builds lasting connections that become a foundation for long-term organizing. Rooted in radical joy, we are building power toward policy changes that increase food access for all students.

The mission of Journeys | The Road Home is to individually assess and serve the homeless and near homeless, while broadening community awareness and involvement with the homeless.

Our mission is to support and empower the individual and community by creating spaces for communion, service, and social justice. We do this by alleviating the impacts of material, emotional, and spiritual poverty through direct service, education, community building, fostering dialogue and by providing witness, sanctuary, and support. Our vision is to create engaged citizen leaders who will honor the complexities of the human spirit and work to create just and sustainable communities.

Aschiana Foundation invests in the education and well-being of vulnerable children in Afghanistan to give them hope for a brighter future and to contribute to lasting peace and security for the nation. We provide education, meals, medical care, and vocational training to working street children through Aschiana in Afghanistan. Our Foundation provides the necessary financial support to enable the life impacting programs in Afghanistan.

THE LADYLIKE FOUNDATION IS A FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AND EDUCATE FEMININE VIRTUES AND CHARACTERISTICS IN THE LIVES OF YOUNG WOMEN LIVING IN UNDERPRIVILEGED COMMUNITIES. THROUGH THE LADYLIKE FOUNDATION, YOUNG WOMEN ARE EXPOSED TO CUTTING-EDGE RESOURCE PROGRAMS, EXPERIENCES AND LIFE SKILL LESSONS THAT PREPARES, AWAKENS, EMPOWERS, AND INSPIRES YOUNG WOMEN TO REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL AND BECOME THE WOMAN THAT ARE DESTINED TO BE.

Amani Orphanage is a not-for-profit residential and educational program for children in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. Amani seeks to provide safe housing, nutritious food, quality education and healthy socialization for orphans and children of unable parents. Amani seeks to not only keep children from the streets, but to also enrich their lives and lead them to becoming active and engaged citizens upon reaching adulthood. Amani is committed to this mission because if the political, economic and social stability of an East African nation (or of any country) is to advance, her hope lies in the children who will grow to lead, support and empower others. Amani seeks to grant this next generation more than just basic needs and primary education; we aim to encourage them to stay in school through to university, establish healthy life habits, and build strong moral foundations. Amani is completely not-for-profit. All donations are used directly for food, construction, school sponsorship, health needs and minimal overhead costs. Funds from donors contribute to immediate needs (such a monthly food expenses) as well as long term goals (such as expanding and improving Amani's facilities). Amani welcomes volunteers in all aspects of the charity and from all nations of the world who want to join our mission of empowering disadvantaged youth in the greater Arusha area.
