CTF was born from the idea that the world would be a better place if we were all given the opportunity to give back. Established by a group of water women, we feel it is our calling to help others by teaming up with local organizations globally to raise awareness and address social, environmental, health and safety concerns in the places we visit. We aim to bridge the gap between the traveler and our projects enabling travelers to add a life-changing experience to their journeys and add purpose to travel.

The Berkeley Food Network (BFN) was founded in 2016 as an innovative, community-centered network of agencies that provide services to the food insecure residents of Berkeley, both housed and homeless, in order to close documented gaps in access to food in Berkeley. Our goal is to help establish a foundation of good health from which all Berkeley residents can pursue opportunity. We envision a Berkeley that preserves and fosters its vibrancy and diversity; a city that demonstrates its values through how it treats its most vulnerable, including ensuring that all of its residents are free from hunger and have access to affordable high-quality, healthy food.

Our mission is to facilitate integral and sustainable prosperity in rural families and their environment, discovering and strengthening their potential, cooperating with companies, governments and local institutions. We are a non-profit civil association based in the city of Cusco, Peru. We have implemented proven projects to eradicate poverty in more than 280 rural communities in various countries around the world. In Peru, since 2008, in Tanzania since 2015 and in Nepal since 2016. The methodology we use in Pachamama Raymi, is a training system that was developed since 1988 by our president, we implemented it with the same elements in the various projects we promote. Some of these elements are used by other institutions in Latin America, Europe and Africa, such as contests between families. Our main objective is to break the vicious circle of environmental degradation and rural poverty, making communities and rural families improve, substantially and sustainably, the management of their natural resources, achieving prosperity. We don't have political or religious affiliation, we do have concrete goals in the task of eradicating poverty, through the promotion of sustainable practices. Our Objectives are: Break the vicious circle of environmental degradation and rural poverty in 90% of the communities where we work, achieving within three consecutive years that more than 60% of the population change the management of their natural resources for one that generates the recovery of such resources and prosperity. Get 60% of the families of each community to obtain: - Dignified and healthy homes, with food security. - Productive activities that in the short term generate income, almost constant during the year, above the level of the country's minimum wage. - Raise the self-esteem of the farmers with an optimistic vision of their future. - The plantation of 1,000 forest trees per family per year, with a percentage of tree life higher than 80% that will provide them with long-term income.

APF's mission is to reinforce the community of Fondwa Haiti, as well as, other local grassroots organizations throughout Haiti so that they can create wealth in their own rural communities. The current APF Programs in Fondwa include: - Basic Infrastructure creation and improvement (roads, buildings, irrigation, etc.); - Environmental protection, renewable energy, and reforestation (solar power, tree planting, agricultural best practices, etc.) - Access to drinking water, health care, financial services, and food security (potable water, clinic, credit union, orphanage, radio station, etc.) - Education through a primary/secondary school for 600+ regional children and Haiti's first rural peasant university - Small businesses including Restaurant Lakay, construction material depot and transportation services - Several post-earthquake construction projects continue

Equip Manyatta is a charity organization created to assist a community-based organization in Western Kenya, the Manyatta Youth Resource Center (MYRC). The officers of Equip Manyatta were instrumental in assisting community members in Kisumu to establish the MYRC. The mission of the MYRC is to increase opportunities for youth living in the slums of Manyatta, Kisumu to participate in sporting activities and the performing arts, to provide health education, support school attendance, and to build the organization into a self sustaining enterprise. Manyatta is the largest slum in Western Kenya and is home to over 60,000 people living in an area of five square miles with little in the way of urban infrastructure. Kisumu is the third largest city in Kenya, with roughly 578,000 people. Other goals include providing activities that engage youth in positive endeavors to avoid delinquency, encouraging school attendance and fostering peaceful forms of communication to avoid the sort of vicious violence experienced in the area after the last national election.

The Foundation Dones de Misericordia is a non-governmental-organization, established in 2005, that contributes to the eradication of extreme poverty and building peace in communities in extreme social vulnerability of the department of Bolivar through a comprehensive model of social transformation. Our social transformation model contributes to peacebuilding. This transformation takes place in 6 areas of human development: 1. Health 2. Educational Innovation. 3. Environmental Sustainability, 4. Culture and Sports, 5. Values Education, 6. Entrepreneurship and Social Leadership. Our social transformation model is applied in the following programs: RINCON DE LOS DONES (CORNER OF GIFTS): We provide protection and education to children, adolescents and youngsters living in unsafe conditions. We achieve this through personalized counseling, academic training, psychosocial support, social education for families, nutrition, as well as encouraging the development of natural talents in the kids. CASA DE LOS DONES (HOME OF GIFTS) We protect children and adolescents in street life conditions, through a comprehensive program that re-establishes and guarantees their rights. This program welcomes them as boarders, and they may have access to quality education, nutrition rehabilitation, psychosocial counseling, medical care and recreation. KIOSCO DE LOS DONES (KIOSK OF GIFTS) Located in Tierrabomba island, we work for the protection and guarantees of the rights of children and youngsters that live in extreme poverty conditions. Furthermore, the purpose of our social transformation model is overcoming extreme poverty by encouraging human development. To accomplish our goals, we develop projects based on education, values formation, culture, sports, healthy living, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship and social leadership. HOGAR DE LOS DONES(THE HOUSE OF GIFTS) We offer elderly homeless people the opportunity to grow old with dignity. through a comprehensive program that provides housing, health, nutrition, food, clothing and recreation. DONES DE NELLY(THE GIFTS OF NELLY)We offer women who live in deep poverty conditions in Cartagena de Indias, entrepreneurship programs that enable them the possibility to generate revenue and wellbeing for their families as well as for their communities. To improve the quality of life of children, young people and women living in the slum through the provision of quality education, affordable housing, health care and socio economic empowerment Akili Girls Preparatory School strives to provide underprivileged girls in Kisumu County with affordable quality education that will help them to break the cycle of poverty. The project goal is to generate sufficient income through focussing on horticulture, poultry, dairy cows, and renewable energy systems so as to meet educational, nutritional and medical support needs of the girls we support. This project aims to support at least 200 orphans and vulnerable girls between 3 and 14 years by the year 2020. The primary target group are girls from the lowest income populations, particularly those who are affected by the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Obunga slum and Obambo village in Kisumu County. We will enroll 5 fee paying students in every class to enable parents who are able to pay fees to participate in the education of needy girls. The strategy we have adopted to provide quality education to these girls is through the establishment of a boarding school known as Akili Girls Preparatory School which will provide holistic education that addresses both the physical and emotional needs of the girls while creating dignity through self-reliance

Amani Orphanage is a not-for-profit residential and educational program for children in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. Amani seeks to provide safe housing, nutritious food, quality education and healthy socialization for orphans and children of unable parents. Amani seeks to not only keep children from the streets, but to also enrich their lives and lead them to becoming active and engaged citizens upon reaching adulthood. Amani is committed to this mission because if the political, economic and social stability of an East African nation (or of any country) is to advance, her hope lies in the children who will grow to lead, support and empower others. Amani seeks to grant this next generation more than just basic needs and primary education; we aim to encourage them to stay in school through to university, establish healthy life habits, and build strong moral foundations. Amani is completely not-for-profit. All donations are used directly for food, construction, school sponsorship, health needs and minimal overhead costs. Funds from donors contribute to immediate needs (such a monthly food expenses) as well as long term goals (such as expanding and improving Amani's facilities). Amani welcomes volunteers in all aspects of the charity and from all nations of the world who want to join our mission of empowering disadvantaged youth in the greater Arusha area.

Our Mission: Missionvale Care Centre is an interdenominational, non-profit organization committed to providing quality care and support to improve the lives of the people of Missionvale through love, consultation, participation and self-development. To recognise that we have done nothing to deserve our prosperity, as they have done nothing to deserve their deprivation. To reach out a hand of solidarity, compassion and love, filled not with empty platitudes, but with food, medicine, learning and hope. To learn from the sick and the vulnerable, the great lessons of humility and simplicity. To learn from ourselves the limits of our charity and the boundaries of our selflessness. To know and believe that a Care Centre, within our city and within our hearts, is only the beginning, but a beginning where anything is possible. MISSION The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation is a nonprofit charity dedicated to planting edible, fruitful trees and plants to benefit the environment and all its inhabitants. Our primary mission is to plant and help others plant a collective total of 18 billion fruit trees across the world (approximately 3 for every person alive) and encourage their growth under organic standards. FTPF provides support, resources, and guidance for those interested in planting fruit trees and spearheads a variety of planting programs. These programs are aimed at enriching the environment, providing nutritious food sources for wild and rescued animals, and improving human health by bringing delicious, fresh, locally grown raw fruits and vegetables of the highest quality into the lives of all people. VISION We envision a place where one can have a summer picnic under the shade of a fruit tree, breathe the clean air it generates, and not have to bring anything other than an appetite for the healthy fruits growing overhead. A world where one can take a walk in the park during a lunch break, pick and eat a variety of delicious fruits, plant the seeds so others can eventually do the same and provide an alternative to buying environmentally-destructive, illness-causing, chemically-laden products. Simply put, our goal is to encourage and inspire the planting of 18 billion fruit trees around the world. 18 billion fruit trees can spring out of the soul of one human being — we believe in thinking big, and loving even more.

The organization endorses a multi-sectoral approach with a view to enhancing people's overall progress. As a result, RDT addresses all major areas of development, including access to quality education, improved livelihoods, ecologyand the environment, equal opportunities for people with disabilities, women's development and empowerment, and access to healthcare. We organize, at a grassroots level, women, men, andpeople with disabilities into groups to enhance their strength, confidence, and ability to resolve their own issues and problems. An important RDT-Vicente Ferrer approach is the continuous sharing of knowledge, skills, and awareness about all aspects of life. Collaboration with the government and other NGOs to draw maximum benefits from development. To raise people's awareness and support their use of government schemes and resources. Though the organization has a special program forwomen's development, it believes that women's progress should be a factor in every area of work and life, including education, where emphasis is placed on young girls, and healthcare, for the overall well-being of women and girls. We believe in continuous training and orientation for staff members and people. We also have an HR department that regularly organizes internal and external training sessions for staff members of all levels and people on leadership, group building, problem solving, and gender-related matters, among others. To create an efficient human organization capable of acting regardless of where the need arises, even in emergencies. We believe that we must have a strong organization focused on community development, yet flexible and able to accommodate the changing needs of the people. RDT-Vicente Ferrer also stresses continuous dialogue with people and seeks to ensure its programs are useful and practical.
