Our family of ten programs delivers essential services, provides equitable access to resources, and advocates for health and dignity across every stage of life. Every year, we meet the needs of thousands of local children, families and seniors with broad support from individuals, businesses, foundations and government. We believe that when we work together, anything is possible. Our Child Development Division's experienced, bilingual teachers offer early education opportunities, developmental screenings, and family engagement at six centers throughout the county. Child & Adult Care Food Program is a nutrition assistance program that ensures low-income children and adults attending licensed facilities receive healthy meals and each every day. Elderday Adult Day Health Care is the only program of its kind in Santa Cruz County, serving approximately 70 elders and adults with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments each day. It provides the services this vulnerable population needs to stay healthy and maintain the highest level of independence possible. Our Family Resource Collective works with individuals and families to build safe, healthy, and compassionate communities through education, resources, and advocacy. It includes La Manzana Community Resources, Live Oak Family Resource Center, Mountain Community Resources, and Nueva Vista. Lift Line provides accessible rides to low-income, disabled, elderly and frail individuals each year, ensuring that their medical, nutritional, and emotional needs are met. Meals on Wheels for Santa Cruz County serves more than 600 meals per day to low-income, frail, elderly, and disabled residents. With no required payment or waiting list, those in need can count on a warm meal at one of our five centers, or delivered straight to their doors. Women, Infants & Children (WIC) provides nutrition education, food stamps, and breastfeeding support to more than 9,000 low-income pregnant women, infants and children each month, helping families thrive.

Pack Away Hunger's mission is to eliminate hunger in Indiana and around the world through nutritious food, education and service. Nutritious Food. In the United States, our Nutri-Plenty Meals help stock the shelves of local food banks and pantries. In developing nations, our meals are used to offset chronic malnutrition in children, and to nourish communities suffering from hunger. Education. Each year, through community partnerships and meal packing events, we educate more than 8,000 people about the toll hunger takes on individuals and communities. Our hope is that this information will inspire people to advocate and care for the hungry in their own communities and around the world. Service. Meal packing events are a powerful and hands-on way for organizations and individuals to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Appropriate for all ages and all abilities, our events allow diverse groups to serve together, build camaraderie and promote team building.

The mission of Boca Helping Hands is to provide compassionate service through food and assistance programs to individuals, families and children to instill dignity and break the cycle of dependence.  We work to complete our mission every day in our Hot Meal, Pantry, Financial Assistance, and Job Mentoring Programs.  In addition, we have special childrens programs to provide food and support to school age kids.

TABLE's mission is to provide healthy, emergency food aid every week to hungry preschool, elementary, and middle school children living in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, NC.

THTGF is a 501c3 organization that has been established to help the hungry and the poor people of the Kwazulu Natal region of South Africa and orphan children and disabled people of Uganda.

FORSYTH BACKPACK PROGRAM IS A LOCAL, ALL-VOLUNTEER 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT BELIEVES ALL CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE THE BEST VERSIONS OF THEMSELVES THAT THEY CAN BE. TO THAT END, FORSYTH BACKPACK PROGRAM PROVIDES NUTRITIOUS FOOD IN BACKPACKS ON WEEKENDS AND LONG HOLIDAYS TO WS/FCS STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED BY SCHOOL PERSONNEL AS BEING IN NEED OF FOOD AND TO CHILDREN IN NEED OF SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.EACH BACKPACK PURCHASED FROM SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF NORTHWEST NC ("SECOND HARVEST") AT AN APPROXIMATE COST OF $5 CONSISTS OF 2 BREAKFASTS AND 2 LUNCHES. THE PRODUCTS ARE KID-FRIENDLY, EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS 5, AND CAN BE EATEN WITH NO COOKING REQUIRED.

Gruppo Aleimar is a non-profit voluntary organization that deals with children and families in need both in Italy and abroad, through the Distance Support, projects of development and awareness-raising and human development activities on the Italian territory. The main areas of our development projects are: 1. Education: taking charge of children in family (natural or adoptive), in foster homes and shelters, schooling and vocational training. 2. Health and hygiene awareness: support to clinics and / or hospitals, funding of surgical operations, seminars for young mothers. 3. Women promotion: start-up of agriculture and livestock, creation of production cooperatives, micro-credit financing. 4. Rural villages' development: water well, kindergarten, solar energy for light and water pumps. 5. Women' refuge and social housing for families in temporary need. The Aleimar Group is active today in 12 countries (Benin, Brazil, Colombia, D.R. Congo, Eritrea, India, Italy, Malawi, Palestine, Kenya, Lebanon, Zambia) with more than 50 projects and takes care directly of 600 children (what we call distance support) and, indirectly, of other 2,500 children that we follow within our projects. The Group comprises Aleimar for overseas project; Tuendelee for Italian projects and Prema, a cooperative for mentally disabled youth. The Group hires five people and relays on the voluntary service of 140 people. Its annual turnover is abt.1,2 million euro and overhead cost is less than 10%. Its balance sheet is checked and approved by internal auditors. We have been granted a seal of quality "Donare con fiducia" by the Istituto Italiano Donazione. In 30 years of activity the Group has helped more than 10.000 children/families, has built more than 100 foster homes, orphanages, schools and water wells.

Every Dollar Feeds Kids' mission is to provide nutritious meals for very poor children, enabling them to learn in hopes that they will be able to help break the cycle of poverty in their families.

Bududa Learning Center is an umbrella organization that includes a vocational high school, an orphans program for children, and a microfinance program for women. It is located in the isolated mountain district of eastern Uganda. It was founded by Canadian-born Barbara Wybar, who has been living on site a portion of each year for the past 14 years. This isolated region, one of the poorest in Uganda, is over-populated with most families having an average of 8 children. They live by growing their own food. Most of the region has no running water or electricity. Both the education and health care system are severely under-funded and inadequate. Jobs are scarce. Most people are hungry most of the time. How & Who We Help. We work to address the problems in three ways: 1. Training young people in basic trades: carpentry; brick-laying; dress-making and tailoring; nursery teacher training; computer skills training; and hairdressing training. 2. Providing broad support to 170 children and young people, many of them orphans from AIDS, by providing education enrichment, food, and health care. 3. Training and providing micro finance loans to single mothers and grandmothers in the region who are bringing up children on their own and have no means of support, so they can start small businesses. How It Is Run The Center is staffed by Ugandans working in a professional capacity. Barbara Wybar acts as Executive Director and works in a volunteer capacity. There is a growing volunteer contingent of people from the west who visit and do volunteer work there and others who take on management and administrative work in Canada and the US in a volunteer capacity. A guest house and annex provide housing for up to 12 visiting volunteers at a time. Local Oversight A local Advisory Board of the Center, led by Father Paul Buyela, provides oversight to the headmaster of the school and the directors of the two other programs. It is made up of representatives of the teachers, the parents, the regional education board, and the community as well as the executive director. The chairman is a highly respected educator as well as clerical leader in the region at large. Governance and Financial Support Bududa Canada Foundation provides governance to the Center and raises funds from individuals, foundations, and organizations to support the Center. It is incorporated in Canada holds charitable status from the Canadian Revenue Authority (#82535 8286 RR0001). There is a board directors of five people, three of whom are Canadian and two American. Financial support comes from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Enhance the physical and intellectual development of children from San Luis Potosi who lack of resources, through a program that supports health and development, allowing them to better life opportunities.

Sheepcare's core mission is to touch the lives of the poor people particularly children, transforming them holistically to duplicate the same by transforming their communities and realize their potential to make their lives and world better.

At the time of this writing there are over 26,000 children attending San Diego County schools who have been identified as food insecure, meaning they don't know where their next meal will come. Their primary source of nutrition is the school cafeteria food they receive Monday through Friday. Many of them have nothing of nutritional value to eat on the weekends. Our mission is to provide weekend meals to children with the inability to thrive due to lack of nutritious food in their homes. We do this by filling backpacks full of nutritious food for these children to take home on the weekends. Each backpack contains 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and a few healthy snacks, enough meals to sustain them through Saturday and Sunday.
