Kendal at Hanover is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community characterized by mutual respect, integrity and a concern for each other's welfare that fosters the independence, vitality, health and security of older persons and in which residents and staff may exercise their talents in a supportive environment. Specifically, our mission states: "Together, transforming the experience of aging."

The purpose of the Orange County Rescue Mission is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to the Least, the Last and the Lost of our community through the provision of assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, education, job training, shelter, food, clothing, health care and independent living communities. Programs are available to individuals of any faith, gender or race.

ALA’s mission is to enrich the Los Angeles community by providing seniors with affordable housing, services and linkages to supportive services. ALA was founded on the premise that all seniors, regardless of their race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, socio-economic background, or health status, deserve community support and real options to live an independent and productive life.

The mission of BOSS is to help homeless, poor, and disabled people achieve health and self-sufficiency, and to fight against the root causes of poverty and homelessness. BOSS develops solutions to mass homelessness, mass incarceration and community violence and is dedicated to the inclusion of people marginalized by addiction, trauma, criminality, incarceration, poverty, racism, sexism, homelessness and violence.

Haircuts For Those In Need provides free haircuts and protective styles to people experiencing homelessness or financial hardship in the Buffalo–Niagara region, aiming to restore dignity, boost self‑esteem and support hair and scalp health; the organization also raises funds to operate and to acquire a mobile haircutting/shower unit to reach more communities.

Our mission is to connect the rich literary traditions and resources of Greater Boston, building relationships among its artists and authors, by empowering, enabling, and amplifying the voices of unheard and underserved populations through free collaborative workshops, public readings, literary journals, video publications, and public exhibits that showcase their work and encourage personal reflection and re-vision, by both author and audience, while sharing their stories with the world. Our workshops are intended to expand access to literary arts for everyone, including those marginalized, stigmatized, or isolated by the challenges of addiction recovery, disability, trauma, sickness, injury, poverty, and mental illness.

Since the ultimate goal is not just to provide temporary emergency shelter, but to transition families from Reynolds Home into their own home, the women work with the staff around a three-pronged axis: financial stability, family cohesion and wellness. They learn how to secure various sources of income and a permanent fulltime job, to manage their time and budget to have quality time with their children, to make use of community resources and private counseling and to enroll their children in family health clinics to insure continued preventive health care without resorting to hospital emergency rooms. The staff remains available and alert to the needs of every family that has transitioned to their own home, especially during the first year of transitioning, thus obliterating obstacles that might lead to another episode of homelessness.

Their mission is to provide resources and materials that promote health, well-being and education to their county's foster, kinship, and at-risk children and youth. They are available to assist children and youth in foster or resource care, youth in crisis pregnancy and homeless children and families. They make this effort to encourage the community to foster, advocate for families and offer hope of a better future for the children in their county.

OCSi aims to provide programs and services that will foster our participants' physical, emotional and educational needs in a friendly and respectful environment. We will deploy a state of the art knowledge and established best practices so that our seniors can LIVE LEARN and THRIVE.

Family Promise of Greater Cleveland provides short-term, case-managed shelter and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness so they can secure stable housing and regain self-sufficiency. The affiliate shelters families free of charge and connects them to employment, health, and community resources while keeping families together during their stay.

At Renaissance, our aim is to find safe and secure housing for the men, women and families we serve, and to provide them with the services they’ll need to lead lives of health, dignity and stability. We prevent homelessness among those who are at risk, and help build stronger communities by fostering residential stability and supporting those we serve.
