HomeAid Atlanta's mission is to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach. HomeAid Atlanta builds and renovates facilities for organizations serving Atlanta's homeless population. Past projects include transitional housing facilities, a free-of-charge health clinic for the homeless, one teen center, and many more, with additional projects currently in development. The result—more than 750 homeless people are provided housing each year in metro Atlanta through HomeAid Atlanta-built housing facilities.

United Way of Long Island advances the common good, creating opportunities for a better life for all by focusing on the three key building blocks of education, financial stability and health. On December 24, 1985, Christ House opened its doors to provide comprehensive health care for sick, homeless persons, while assisting them in addressing critical issues to help break the cycle of homelessness. Hospitals treat homeless patients for emergencies, but a lack of continuity of care that forces them to discharge these patients to the street where they cannot rest and recuperate. Christ House is a place where these homeless patients with acute medical needs can receive plenty of rest, nutritious meals, medical care and social services.

City with Dwellings: A Community First Initiative (CwD), works to end the crisis of homelessness in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County by building therapeutic, sustained community for individuals who are experiencing homelessness and persons who struggle with chronic homelessness. As a low-barrier agency, CwD understands the unique needs and circumstances homeless persons must overcome to successfully access housing, health and employment resources. By building relationships of trust and engaging the wider community, we are able to effectively facilitate a coordinated community response to help house individuals and reduce recidivism.

The mission of Project WeHOPE is to help the unhoused, homeless and those at-risk in rebuilding their lives through a customized Supportive Housing Program customized to the needs of each client. Project WeHOPE is an acronym for We Help Other People Excel, and we are a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in the City of East Palo Alto, California. Through our devotion to helping others, our long-term goal is to help improve the health of East Palo Alto by helping others overcome the critical issues facing homelessness and poverty in our cities.

The Mission of the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans is to extend a helping hand to homeless veterans who have served the United States honorably in peace and war who are addressing the challenges of addiction, trauma, severe and persistant mental illness, and/or unemployment. And, who will commit themselves to sobriety, non-violence, and working for personal change; to offer homeless veterans temporary, save overnight accomodation and basic nutrition; to offer in a fiscally sound manner effective longer term programs which best meet the veteran's transition needs, utilizing the full range of government, foundation grants and private contributions; to refer veterans to other public and private institutions through a network of service providers who can meet their needs, not duplicating what others can do better; to create and operate housing for veterans as an important solution to homelessness; and to one day become recognized as the most effective private veteran's transition program in the country.

The Mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for families, children, and individuals who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness throughout Colorado. CCH advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being and stability of those it serves. Since its founding more than 30 years ago, the organization has earned state and national recognition for its integrated healthcare, housing and service programs. The Coalition’s comprehensive approach addresses the causes of homelessness, as well as the consequences, offering critical assistance to over 20,000 individuals and families each year.

Established in 1971, Raphael House was the first shelter in San Francisco for families experiencing homelessness. The mission of Raphael House is to help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence while strengthening family bonds and personal dignity. At Raphael House, we see homelessness as a temporary state that doesn't define a person. We understand that homelessness can result from unexpected economic, health-related circumstances, or a breakdown in family structure. We provide families an opportunity to take ownership of their futures and improve the quality of their lives through a nurturing and supportive process emphasizing the importance of strong families and personal dignity.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Midwest | MN, WI, IA operates the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, MN and provides caring support to families seeking medical care for their children. The Ronald McDonald House is a pediatric hospitality house serving families who are traveling from across the globe to access vital medical care for their child at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. Families who find themselves at the Ronald McDonald House have often exhausted every medical resource near their home, creating the added burden of traveling away from their personal support network while their child fights for their life. The Ronald McDonald House helps relieve financial burdens and ensures access to basic needs while providing family centered programming that supports the emotional health of families of children ages 0 to 18 with a complicated medical diagnosis. More than a place to sleep, shower or eat the Ronald McDonald House strives to ensure families can put 100% of their energy into focusing on the health of their ill child. Alleviating the financial stressors triggered by childhood illness makes it more feasible for families to travel away from home to receive the medical care their child requires. In addition, by providing family-centered activities, Ronald McDonald House works diligently to create environments that foster healthy relationships between guest families, volunteers, and staff. The Ronald McDonald House provides a safe and loving environment where kids can be kids and parents can lean on one another for support.
