Shelter From the Rain, Inc. (SFTR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, based out of Savannah, Georgia, that provides assistance to low-income single mothers and children in need through acts of kindness that empower the mind, body, and soul.

Gleaning and drying fruit and vegetables to ship to organizations around the world to help feed the hungry.

Prayers Of the People provides spiritual care and community resources for patients, their families and care givers. POP responds to the commission of Jesus Christ, "I was sick and you visited me." Matt. 25:36

The Church of the Essence has been helping people in our community since 1979. We are living in a time when we need more leaders and healers skilled in ancient arts of healing, plant spirit medicine, vibrational and energy medicine, plant medicine who can bring balance to the body, mind, and spirit . There are so many who are in need of deep healing and not many trained in these ancient art forms of medicine. We cannot hope to reach all but we try to reach as many as possible.

To create awareness and care for women who have been widowed by death or abandonment by providing immediate assistance, building community around them and offering ongoing support and extending the model of care to others who have experienced loss.
