Community Bridges envisions a thriving community where every person has the opportunity to unleash their full potential. Our family of ten programs delivers essential services, provides equitable access to resources, and advocates for health and dignity across every stage of life. Every year, we meet the needs of thousands of local children, families and seniors with broad support from individuals, businesses, foundations and government. We believe that when we work together, anything is possible. Our Child Development Division's experienced, bilingual teachers offer early education opportunities, developmental screenings, and family engagement at six centers throughout the county. Child & Adult Care Food Program is a nutrition assistance program that ensures low-income children and adults attending licensed facilities receive healthy meals and each every day. Elderday Adult Day Health Care is the only program of its kind in Santa Cruz County, serving approximately 70 elders and adults with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments each day. It provides the services this vulnerable population needs to stay healthy and maintain the highest level of independence possible. Our Family Resource Collective works with individuals and families to build safe, healthy, and compassionate communities through education, resources, and advocacy. It includes La Manzana Community Resources, Live Oak Family Resource Center, Mountain Community Resources, and Nueva Vista. Lift Line provides accessible rides to low-income, disabled, elderly and frail individuals each year, ensuring that their medical, nutritional, and emotional needs are met. Meals on Wheels for Santa Cruz County serves more than 600 meals per day to low-income, frail, elderly, and disabled residents. With no required payment or waiting list, those in need can count on a warm meal at one of our five centers, or delivered straight to their doors. Women, Infants & Children (WIC) provides nutrition education, food stamps, and breastfeeding support to more than 9,000 low-income pregnant women, infants and children each month, helping families thrive.

The mission of Boca Helping Hands is to provide compassionate service through food and assistance programs to individuals, families and children to instill dignity and break the cycle of dependence.  We work to complete our mission every day in our Hot Meal, Pantry, Financial Assistance, and Job Mentoring Programs.  In addition, we have special childrens programs to provide food and support to school age kids.

At the time of this writing there are over 26,000 children attending San Diego County schools who have been identified as food insecure, meaning they don't know where their next meal will come. Their primary source of nutrition is the school cafeteria food they receive Monday through Friday. Many of them have nothing of nutritional value to eat on the weekends. Our mission is to provide weekend meals to children with the inability to thrive due to lack of nutritious food in their homes. We do this by filling backpacks full of nutritious food for these children to take home on the weekends. Each backpack contains 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and a few healthy snacks, enough meals to sustain them through Saturday and Sunday.

Cocoa Packs runs a weekend/supplemental food program for children in the Hershey area, providing packaged meals, hygiene items and other supports to reduce childhood food insecurity and improve student wellness.

At Mama’s Kitchen we believe that everyone is entitled to the basic necessity of life — nutritious food. As a community-driven organization, we provide nutrition support to men, women, and children affected by AIDS or cancer who are vulnerable to hunger.

Our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness for the elderly, single parents with children, and persons with special needs. We offer non-traditional permanent and transitional housing solutions and programs and services that create independence, empowerment, and self-worth.

Labouré College is the longest educator of nurses in Boston. They were founded by the Daughters of Charity, a Catholic order of nuns dedicated to caring for the sick and underserved with compassion. Over 125 years later, Labouré College carries on the Daughters’ mission with a strong commitment to educating diverse men and women who are called to a career in caring for others. Labouré’s mission is to provide high quality education to prepare women and men for careers in nursing and healthcare. They seek to provide opportunities to a diverse population of students to continue their education as mature adults and responsible citizens. Their proud legacy is over 8,000 alumni, caring for patients with skill and compassion in the Boston area and around the world.

THE EAST SIDE SOUP KITCHEN WILL PROVIDE A NUTRITIOUS LUNCHTIME MEAL MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY TO ALL WHO COME TO THE DOOR WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT FOR EACH PERSON. THE EAST SIDE SOUP KITCHEN WILL ALSO PROVIDE AN AFTER-SCHOOL MEAL TO CHILDREN AT ALL RECREATION CENTERS REQUESTING SERVICE IN WRITING.

Our mission is to improve access to health care by providing financial assistance to low-income children for commercial air travel to obtain special medical care; to promote awareness of our services through targeted outreach programs; to enlist the help of community-minded people through strategic calls to action.

Copper Ridge's mission is to to serve aging persons who have memory impairment by providing care, education and research.

Safe Haven serves families in the villages of Siem Reap, Cambodia. Safe Haven’s mission is to provide intervention and support for children with disabilities and medical issues, allowing them the opportunity to access the medical and therapeutic resources they need in order to reach full potential, lead healthy lives and reach their highest level of personal independence.
