Barking & Dagenham Youth Zone

Barking & Dagenham Youth Zone, named Future by young people, gives young people in Barking and Dagenham somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to. We are open 7 days a week, whenever schools are closed, offering 20+ activities every session, including sports and arts. Most importantly all our activities are delivered by trained youth workers who provide positive role models.

OSCAR India

Our mission is to create a world which enables underprivileged girls and boys living in the slums in India to become role models within their communities. The OSCAR Foundation uses the power of football to teach the importance of education and all OSCAR children must attend school. Education transforms disadvantaged communities and provides young people with the tools they need to fight poverty for the next generation.

Futebol da Forca Foundation

Futebol da forca [football gives strength] is an independent international foundation, educational platform and community for purpose-driven football coaches. The organisation was founded in Mozambique in 2012 to work within football to empower girls with agency to make informed decisions and live a life they value. Futebol da forca engages, trains and supports voluntary football coaches to empower girls within football, while changing attitudes and norms that today prevent girls from reaching their full potential, in order for girls to thrive far outside the football field.

Sport London Ltd

Sport London Ltd (operating name "Out For Sport") is a grassroots, all volunteer organisation run by LGBTQ+ community sports clubs from London and the South East. Our mission is to create an inclusive community where LGBT Sport Flourishes'. And our action plan for achieving that mission and objects is centred around five 'pillars': (1) Creating stronger clubs (2) Bringing clubs together (3) Strengthening the voice of LGBTQ+ sport (4) Increasing participation in LGBTQ+ sport (5) Connecting LGBTQ+ clubs to the rest of the world Our NFP company objects aim: - To encourage and promote sport and healthy lifestyles among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and trans people (LGBT) regardless of race, religion, sex, age or physical ability. - To build a LGBT London sports community, linking individuals, organisations, clubs, and associations engaged in LGBT sport, ensuring an effective communication between LGBTs in sport. - To raise awareness about equality and diversity, combat discrimination and homophobia in sport, and working closely with other initiatives and organisations working on sexual orientation grounds. - To promote LGBT engagement in sport and exercise through participation and/or volunteering in sport. - To promote LGBT representation in mainstream sport and encourage LGBT involvement in the wider sporting community from elite to grass roots. - In pursuit of these aims the organisation will promote equal opportunities and encourage gender parity. - To carry out such other activities which are ancillary, related or connect to the above. And our agreed charitable objects are: (1) The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the LGBTIQ+ inhabitants of London and the South East by the assistance in the provision of facilities for playing amateur sport. (2) The promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by: (a) the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity. (b) advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity; (c) promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds. (d) cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity.

REFUGYM

REFUGYM is a community gym, led by the refugee community, for the refugee community. We empower asylum seekers living in camps in Greece to use their own knowledge, skills and passions to lead a sports programme, in order to help improve camp residents' mental and physical wellbeing. Alongside running a sports programme inside the camp itself, we also place an emphasis on providing opportunities outside the camp setting. Through local partnerships, we provide escapism activities for asylum seekers, including professional basketball training, football matches, hiking trips, and watersports lessons including swimming, windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP).
