The Abington Police Athletic League (PAL) strives to prevent juvenile crime and violence and promote healthy youth activities and growth opportunities by providing educational and recreational programs through mentorship from law enforcement and community volunteers who serve as role models.

New Avenues for Youth is a Portland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. Our services for young people (ages 9-25) focus on the individual—their experiences, identities, needs, and goals—and helping them make positive change in their lives.

Gia Allemand Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization advocating for the prevention, treatment, and research of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Our goal is to provide women with the education, support, resources, and tools necessary to live healthy lives, reduce interpersonal conflict, and eliminate self-harm.

The Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts runs a managed‑admission animal shelter serving southeastern Massachusetts, working to shelter and rehome homeless companion animals while providing community outreach, education, and affordable spay/neuter and other support services to prevent cruelty and reduce pet overpopulation.

Step Up of St. Louis is committed to creating an environment in our area that will support prevention of underage substance misuse. The current federal Drug Free Communities funding allows us to focus on the South County area of St. Louis County and serve the greater St. Louis area when possible.

Drowning prevention and aquatic safety education. The San Diego Junior Lifeguard Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of water safety through the many programs it supports including water proofing San Diego, trarn to swim programs for intercity youth, and 100 scholarships for disadvantaged family participation in the jg program each summer

To bring awareness to the high rates of mental health issues in first responders and reduce them. To eliminate the stigma that prevents people from admitting these issues and asking for help. To educate first responders on self and peer care and to lobby for systemic change in how mental health issues are addressed by first responder agencies.

To promote awareness, education, and medical safety measures of all cardiac related episodes for competitive youth and high school sports.The Matthew Mangine Jr. “One Shot” Foundation was started by Kim and Matt Mangine Sr. to educate parents, coaches, and athletes about the number of preventable sudden deaths. We strive to raise awareness about cardiac episodes by educating parents, coaches, and athletes on the importance of properly executing Emergency Action Plans. We advocate for the expanded use of AEDs along with heat/cold therapy devices. Our purpose is to make sure youth and high school athletes are properly cared for because no family should have to endure the pain of a preventable sudden death. You have “One Shot” to save a life.

The YWCA of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County works to eliminate racism and empower women while providing safety and support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Locally the organization operates the county’s domestic-violence safe house and offers a 24/7 crisis hotline, counseling, legal advocacy, and related healing and prevention programs.
