Ready for Life's Mission is to provide support, resources and guidance former foster care youth need to transition to adulthood.

Care for Children is a global children’s charity with a vision and mission to see children across the world moved out of orphanages and into local families. We provide specialised training and support to orphanages, enabling them to set-up and run their own foster care programmes, as a safe and positive alternative to institutional care. This means that local authorities can start moving children out of orphanages and into local, loving families, where each child can be nurtured to reach their potential.

Our mission is to teach the 9 T’ai Chi Peace Games - movements and philosophy to prevent violence and increase mental and physical health.

Partnerships for Permanence is more than a 501(c)(3) organization. It is a family. A family made from years of former foster youth and adoptees coming together to fulfill our mission of raising awareness and actively working to improve the child welfare system. How do we do that? By only employing former foster and adoptive youth; By partnering adults with young people in our work; By facilitating child welfare trainings for youth, professionals, and families; and By teaching adult professionals how to better advocate for young people through skills-building workshops.

P.A.L.S. for Healing is a nonprofit mental health organization dedicated to providing education, art therapy, EMDR and other trauma informed therapies to help people who have suffered trauma and/or loss. Individuals can experience trauma from direct and indirect exposure to an event(s) that leaves them feeling helpless, terror and unsafe. Some of these experiences can include divorce, having an incarcerated parent, being in the foster care system, serving in the military, having a family member in the military, responding to crisis situations, domestic violence, bullying, the death of a loved one and natural disasters. P.A.L.S. for Healing has three locations within Cuyahoga county and provides offsite group and individual services within Cuyahoga, lake and summit counties. We also provide professional workshops and trainings for individuals and organizations.

We are building a worldwide community of kind, compassionate and empowered young people. Our vision is a safe and peaceful world where all people respect and care for each other and our planet. Kids for Peace serves as a model and inspiration for creating this reality with children leading the way, not only for today, but for generations to come. Our motto is "Kindness Matters".

Citizens Committee has a simple mission: to help New Yorkers - especially those in low-income communities - come together to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods. Our work is based on the simple belief that New Yorkers understand the needs of their community better than any outsider. We help ordinary people like you to implement their own vision for their neighborhoods and schools. Dedicated to sustainable conflict transformation at the grassroots, Generations For Peace empowers volunteer leaders of youth to promote active tolerance and responsible citizenship in communities experiencing different forms of conflict and violence. Carefully-facilitated sport-based games, arts, advocacy, dialogue and empowerment activities provide an entry point to engage children, youth and adults, and a vehicle for integrated education and sustained behavioural change.
