The Carnival Memphis Children’s Charity Initiative (CCI) was developed in 1999 to assist those who improve the quality of life for children throughout the community. Each year different agencies are selected to receive funds raised by Carnival and the Grand Krewes of Carnival Memphis at fundraisers throughout the year. Since the inception of the CCI (a 501c3 non-profit), over $3,200,000 with matching funds has been donated to local children’s charities.
The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria was established in 1986 by concerned citizens of Alexandria to help academically qualified, financially-needy students from Alexandria City Public Schools afford post-secondary education. The mission of the Fund, through its relationships within the community, is to encourage and assist the students of Alexandria City Public Schools by providing them with the necessary resources to access and complete a college, vocational or career program of post-secondary education.
