Building Community for youth in foster care since 1998. At Peace4Kids, we employ an approach that we call “Community as Family”. Youth in foster care, supported by a responsive, consistent and culturally sensitive volunteer community, develop a sense of belonging and permanence. Teen Esteem's dynamic, relevant presentations address today's challenges students & parents face in school and at home. Our message to students is that your value is not based on what you do but on who you are and that everyone deserves to be treated with respect.
To positively impact girls across the Greater St. Louis community through our unique program that combines health and wellness education with a goal-oriented running program. Our goal is to prepare and educate girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living during their critical years of development (i.e. ages 8-14). The program is designed to empower young girls to believe in themselves and embrace their full potential as they become young adults. We are a non-profit organization supported by the St. Louis community that is financially responsible to ensure long term growth and sustainability.

At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
The Sandy Spring Athletic Association Is A Non-Profit Organization Whose Mission Is To Promote, Supervise, And Voluntarily Assist In Providing A Safe And Secure Recreational Athletic Environment For Young People In The Greater Ashton-Olney-Sandy Spring Maryland Region. Through Proper Guidance And Exemplary Leadership We Will Promote Programs That Emphasize Physical And Emotional Development, Build Self-Esteem And Cultivate A Lifelong Interest In Sports, Health And Teamwork By Espousing The Virtues Of Character, Integrity, And Sportsmanship. Triple E Foundation was established on November 18, 2016 in Hampton, VA. Triple E Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides programs to community youth which help narrow the gap in achievement, education and performance. The organization offers programs to 7-12 graders which focus on eight learning areas: Health and Wellness, Arts and Cultural Awareness, Financial Matters, Academic and Career Exploration, Self –Awareness, Communication and Etiquette, Spiritual Awareness, and Community and Civic Engagement. Our purpose is to narrow the gaps in achievement, education and performance by enriching lives, empowering youth, and exposing all the possibilities.
Future in Our Hands - USA, founded December 2005, funds social and economic projects that foster human dignity and sustainable development in East Africa. We have close and personal relationships with those we serve. We fund projects that support education, health care, and to help obtain potable water for those we serve. FIOH-USA is dedicated to more equitable use of world resources, and stands for a commitment to co-operation and active consideration (rather than competition) for our fellow human beings; equal rights for everyone; and co-responsibility to safeguard the environment for current and future generations.
North Star Reach offers life-changing camp experiences for children with serious health challenges and their families. Campers at North Star Reach experience all of the fun, joy and independence that all children receive at camp and appreciate a rare sense of normalcy. Campers leave with improved self-esteem, restored childhood and a sense of accomplishment at attempting challenges in an environment that provides physical, emotional and medical support and supervision. Campers, staff and volunteers are all impacted in a positive way by the camp experience. Additionally, parents have a much-needed opportunity for respite and many report that their children return from camp with a new sense of autonomy and independence.
Casa's mission is to provide social and emotional learning programs and bullying prevention to children and adolescents to develop optimal relationship skills and to prevent abusive and violent relationships. Casa's prevention programs prevent children from becoming abused, from becoming abusive, bullying people, and from becoming involved in abusive relationships. In addition, Casa leads call to action movements to increase public awareness of verbal, and emotional, other abusive behaviors and to implement abuse prevention programs and social and emotional learning programs in schools, camps and after-school systems, as well as in businesses, houses of worship, health centers, and public entities.
The mission of Girls on the Run-DC (GOTR-DC) is to: improve the lives and future potential of girls by cultivating critical cognitive and emotional attributes and skills; promote girls' health and well-being by integrating running into their daily lives; and narrow the disparities in both social-emotional and physical well-being among economically disadvantaged girls by removing barriers that limit access to high-quality youth development programs. We serve girls in grades 3-8 with a proven, evidence-based curriculum that integrates social-emotional learning (SEL) content with running instruction delivered by trained adult mentors in a small group setting.
Founded in 1990, PPC's core values are to be an independent, nonpartisan, research-based child advocacy organization. PPC concentrates on five issues that yield a strong return on investment for our children: health coverage; early childhood education; quality basic education; youth in transition to adulthood and family strengthening. PPC's strategies are: conducting research and analysis to develop credible, sound information and insight to drive public policy; using communication strategies to increase awareness of key constituencies; mobilize individuals and organizations to speak out for PA children's issues; and representing PA children's interests in Harrisburg and Washington through government relations.
