The mission of Beyond the Baby Blues is to provide support to women experiencing perinatal depression and/or anxiety in the context of a therapeutic group that includes their babies. We also provide support and education to the public and other professionals regarding issues that face families experiencing postpartum depression.

Founded in 2006, the Noyo Food Forest Mission is to cultivate and model a healthy local food system, by providing opportunities for Mendocino Coast youth and community to learn about, grow, and access garden-fresh food.

The mission of Bikes for the World is to make affordable, good quality used bicycles available to low-income people, primarily in developing countries. These donated bikes provide better transport for work, education, and health care. Bikes for the World also generates additional skilled employment in bike repair and maintenance overseas, and provides satisfying environmental and humanitarian service opportunities for volunteers in the United States.

Spread the Word Nevada is dedicated to advancing early childhood literacy by placing books into the homes of children within Nevada's low income communities. We are dedicated to changing the lives of our at-risk children, one book at a time.

Mission and Vision:  Chess in the Schools is a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to improving academic performance and building self-esteem among inner-city public school children. Chess is a powerful teaching tool that can break through barriers to help the most disadvantaged students learn skills that translate into academic and lifelong success. Over the past two decades, we have seen how an effective chess education curriculum can change lives. But, learning chess is just the first stebut no one will dispute that the numbers are unsatisfactory. This appallingly low statistic is even lower for minority students and those who live in poverty. Many education experts agree that increasing the high school graduation rate starts with early intervention. Chess in the Schools believes that elementary school students need to develop basic analytical skills that lead to academic success throughout their school career. To develop these skills, Chess in the Schools teaches the complex game of chess to thousands of New York City public school children every year.

Every Dream Outside the Box program is designed for dual impact: to propel youth in dream deserts toward higher education while cultivating leadership skills among collegiate volunteers. By producing imaginative programming in dream deserts, college students broaden the horizons of K-5 youth while developing skills to contribute toward the disruption of cyclical poverty.
