Our mission is to support projects and activities which contribute to the improvement of the quality of life for African Americans and residents of San Diego. Empowering Young Women to be Leaders The Leadership Development Intern Program was established by the San Diego Delta Foundation In 2001. The Leadership Program is a three (3) year Program that provides academic and cultural enrichment along with leadership development for African-American girls in grades 10-12 from schools throughout San Diego County. The Program offers a framework in which the Interns can explore leadership opportunities that prepare them to meet the challenges that lie ahead in college and in life. The Foundation is extremely proud of their accomplishments of all the young ladies who have been a part of the Leadership Program.
