SACMHA provides specialist support tailored to the needs of individuals accessing our services. At our core is a commitment to helping people build a secure foundation from which they can take ownership of their lives and be at the centre of all decisions affecting them. Our Breinburg Campus is home to both our supported living and community programmes. These services focus on promoting wellbeing and independence. Weekly events such as the Memory Hub, Wellbeing Hub, and Social Café also take place on site, offering regular engagement and support. We offer Self-Directed Support, managing care packages to ensure individuals receive the help they are entitled to. Our Peer Support programme is grounded in the belief that lived experience can powerfully support others going through similar challenges. In partnership with NHS Trusts, we work on wards to engage patients and help reduce restrictive practices—methods disproportionately affecting the Black community. Through our collaboration with the Advocacy Hub, we ensure individuals have their voices heard and rights upheld.SACMHA also partners with local universities to conduct community-focused research, using the findings to improve lives and drive positive change.

Our mission is to advance change in America by ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all in partnership with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities we serve. Through a network of more than 200 food banks, 21 statewide food bank associations, and over 60,000 partner agencies, food pantries and meal programs, we helped provide 6.6 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year. Feeding America also supports programs that prevent food waste and improve food security among the people we serve; brings attention to the social and systemic barriers that contribute to food insecurity in our nation; and advocates for legislation that protects people from going hungry.
