FDD was founded shortly after 9/11 by a group of visionary philanthropists and policymakers to support the defense of democratic societies under assault by terrorism and militant Islamism. Our Leadership Council of Distinguished Advisors includes former FBI Director Louis J. Freeh, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former National Security Advisor Robert "Bud" McFarlane, former Ambassador Max Kampelman, Sen. Joe Lieberman (ID-CT), and former CIA Director R. James Woolsey.Those affiliated with FDD come from many backgrounds and political perspectives, but all believe: - No one should be denied basic human rights, including minority rights, women's rights, and religious freedom.- Free and democratic nations have a right to defend themselves and an obligation to defend one another. - Terrorism, the deliberate use of violence against citizens to achieve political objectives, is always wrong and must never be condoned.An activist think tank with a solid track record of transforming ideas into actions that get results, FDD uniquely combines policy research, counterterrorism and democracy education, strategic communications, and investigative journalism.The Foundation for Defense of Democracies focuses its efforts where opinions are formed and, ultimately, where the war of ideas will be won or lost: in the media, on college campuses, in the courthouse, and in the policy community, both at home and abroad.

Provide Clean Water: In the past this fund has supported education and empowerment surrounding clean water initiatives, as well as implementation of clean water projects through nonprofits like the Thirst Project.

The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) is a non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to healing the wounds of war, occupation and poverty for children in the Middle East, regardless of their nationality, religion, race or gender.

Money raised through this fund will be split evenly between the Australian Red Cross and the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. The Australian Red Cross- Since July 2019, Red Cross teams have responded to 30 emergencies and supported well over 20,000 people, through the efforts of more than 1,600 volunteers and staff. The United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund is an innovative partnership empowering local women to be a force for crisis response and lasting peace. Supporting local women to prevent conflict, respond to crises and seize key peacebuilding opportunities. WPHF galvanizes support from across the globe to support the efforts of women working on the frontlines of the world’s most intractable conflicts. From Jordan to Burundi, Ukraine to Colombia, we aim to amplify the voices of women and support their vital work to prevent conflict, respond to crises, and accelerate peace in their communities.

THE FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES. IT ADMINISTERS CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED AND DISTRIBUTES GRANTS TO NON-PROFIT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER CHARITABLE DISBURSEMENTS.

Advocates for Trans Equality Education Fund is dedicated to advancing the legal rights and social inclusion of transgender people throughout the United States. We bring together decades of experience advocating for equality and pushing for systemic change. Our work includes providing education on critical legal rights, advocating for policies that protect the well-being and dignity of transgender individuals, and engaging communities to foster greater understanding and acceptance. Our vision is a future where all transgender people live in safety and equality, free from discrimination and barriers to success. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we leverage our expertise to deliver impactful educational programs and research that uplift the transgender community, and inform policymakers, institutions, and the public about the importance of trans equality. A4TE Education Fund was formed in 2024 following the merger of National Center For Transgender Equality (NCTE) and Trans Legal Defense and Education Fund (TLDEF)

The mission of the SFBC Education Fund is to provide education, training and services for San Francisco Bay Area residents who commute by bicycle or ride bicycles recreationally.
