The foundation works to help babies and young children who are deaf or hard of hearing in low- and middle-income countries by building local capacity—training professionals, supporting early identification and newborn screening, and providing hearing technology and family/clinical support—so children can learn to listen and speak and reach their potential.
City with Dwellings: A Community First Initiative (CwD), works to end the crisis of homelessness in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County by building therapeutic, sustained community for individuals who are experiencing homelessness and persons who struggle with chronic homelessness. As a low-barrier agency, CwD understands the unique needs and circumstances homeless persons must overcome to successfully access housing, health and employment resources. By building relationships of trust and engaging the wider community, we are able to effectively facilitate a coordinated community response to help house individuals and reduce recidivism.
There With Care of the Bay Area provides practical, day-to-day support to families with critically ill children — working with hospitals and community volunteers to deliver essentials (groceries, cleaning supplies, diapers), transportation and housing assistance, and other stabilizing services during a medical crisis.
