TO ESTABLISH AND GROW A PERPETUAL SOURCE OF FUNDING FOR THE GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH IN BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE CHURCH'S MINISTRIES, IMPROVE THE CHURCH'S FACILITIES, AND FOSTER THE GROWTH OF THE ONE, TRUE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, AND APOSTOLISTIC CHURCH, ALL TO THE GREATER GLORY AND THE NAME OF THE HOLY TRINITY: OUR GOD, THE FATHER ALMIGHTY; OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST; AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE LORD, THE GIVER OF LIFE.

We are a UK registered charity founded around 1132. Our fine medieval buildings have provided food and shelter for hundreds of years. The principal activity of the Hospital continues to be the provision of individual, private apartments for a living community of about twenty-five elderly men. We are also responsible for caring for and maintaining the Grade 1 listed buildings. At the heart of the Hospital’s inner quadrangle is a wonderful Norman church. Nearby stand a classic medieval hall and kitchen, a Tudor cloister.

Oregon Turkish American Association (ORTA) is a non-profit organization aiming to take its rightful place among the community organizations that are actively reweaving the social fabric of Oregon for a better future. We are here to organize events and activities to promote cross cultural exchange of ideas, art, cuisine, traditions. ORTA was founded to create a community and a welcoming environment to anyone who is interested. We strive to extend our support to the Turkish American student body in the area, and partnering with humanitarian organizations in the USA and in Turkey.
