As a community organization based in Easthampton, MA, the Trust preserves the community's treasured natural heritage and protects the quality of its future through:Land Conservation. The Trust is given or buys land or easements (legal rights which protect natural resources on a property) with scenic, natural, agricultural, or recreational value. Land Stewardship - The Trust works with its neighbors to protect and improve the Trust's land holdings. Environmental Education - The Trust provides information about environmental issues. Community Parks - The Trust creates and maintains neighborhood parks and recreation areas. The Trust supports Native American access to the land and supports cultural practices.

Founded in 1983, The Freshwater Trust accelerates the pace and scale of freshwater restoration through the use of science, technology and incentive-based solutions to restore rivers on a timeline that matters. With headquarters in Portland, Oregon, The Freshwater Trust continues to grow its impact and currently works in Oregon, Idaho and California. In 2013, the Trust received the U.S. Water Prize for its innovative solutions to restore rivers and streams in the Pacific Northwest.

The aims of Innerleithen Community Trust are to obtain funding for and/or manage any project that will enhance the economy, environment and community facilities within the Innerleithen, Traquair and Glen area. Membership is open to any resident from the Innerleithen, Traquair and Glen (EH44 postcode) Area and members are asked for views on local projects and will receive regular newsletters.There is a Committee of Trustees that manages the Trust and applies its funds, including all donations, contributions and bequests, to further the objects of the Trust. The Trust will work with any community group or organisation to help fund projects that bring benefit to the whole community.
