Our Mission
Guilford Education Alliance (GEA) is an independent nonprofit that galvanizes the community in support of quality public education for all students. The most important part of our name is Alliance. We are an alliance of people and organizations investing time, talent and resources in support of Guilford County Schools (GCS).
We are relentlessly optimistic about the future of Guilford County. Great communities have great public schools. We are committed to maximizing support for GCS so that all children thrive and are prepared for the future. When it comes to education, we mean business.
Our Impact
about 6 years ago — Teacher Supply Warehouse
We love it when teachers tell us how they used different Teacher Supply Warehouse materials in the classroom! Teacher Hilary McEachern teaches Workplace Readiness at the Christine Joyner Greene Education Center and recently picked up donated fabric scraps at the Warehouse. Her students turned scraps into heating pads and will sell them. What a great hands-on lesson! Thank you to all our donors who give supplies and funds so teachers like Hilary can creatively inspire their students!
