Basic Health International exists to eliminate cervical cancer on a global level through cutting edge research for the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer in low resource settings. Through research and field-work in Latin American countries,
BHI is creating a scalable blueprint of sustainable strategies that can be applied in communities throughout the world to prevent, identify, and treat cervical cancer. Aligned with the World Health Organization’s mission to eliminate cervical cancer globally by 2030, BHI’s team of experts focuses on research, community education, outreach, and policy. During COVID-19 we are building laboratory infrastructure for SARS-CoV-2 testing which can later be used for the HPV testing critical to cervical cancer elimination.
